DEVELOPMENT OF 230KV KAMPONG CHAM-KRATIE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM PROJECT - PROGRESS UPDATE Project Description PESTECH’s EPC work package for 230kV in Kampong Cham - Kratie Transmission System Project includes design, engineering, manufacturing, test delivery, installation completion and commissioning of 230kV switchyard in the existing Kampong Cham Substation, New Kratie 230/22kV substation and the interconnecting 230kV duplex ACSR bittern transmission line from kampong Cham to Kratie substation. The project started its commencement since November 2015 and expected to complete within 24 months. Progress Updates As at end of June, the overall physical completion of the project stands at 47%. Engineering and design, procurement and delivery as well as transmission line and substation execution have been carried out according to the project schedule. (a) Transmission Line Land resettlement and compensation has been done for 218 locations out of 310 locations with 30% of tower material and 40% of foundation stubs has been delivered. The tower foundation and erection progress reached 71 locations and 53 towers respectively out of the 310 (b) Substation Kampong Cham Substation’s earthwork has been completed at the end of April 2016. Civil and Structural for switchyard foundation work is in the progress. Kratie Substation’s control building civil structural works has ended at the end of May 2016. The team is working on the foundation for surge arrestor, current transformer and capacitive voltage transformer currently with 10 of them completed as at end of June.
