  • PRINCIPAL’S REPORT Wanted - New Enrolments for 2016 If you have (or you know of anyone) who has a child who will be starting school at Kananook in 2016, we encourage you to visit our school office to enrol now. This will assist us greatly as we plan our class structure for the new school year. Pupil Free Day, Monday 2nd November Kananook Primary School has a report writing day on Monday 2nd November. Students will not be required to attend on this day. Parent Forum Please keep Wednesday, 21st October free so that you can attend a Parent Forum at Kananook Primary School. The aim of the forum is to discuss parent views on some of the great things we do at the school and areas of improvement. We have been lucky enough to engage Mr. Tony Ross to run the sessions and he will be seeking feedback from parents to help set our future school direction. Tony will run 2 sessions, the first one will start at 3.45 p.m. and the second session will begin at 7.00 p.m. A free

sausage sizzle will take place before each session and staff will be on duty to supervise children during the first session that begins just after school concludes. We hope you will make the effort to attend as we value your thoughts on how we are going to continue to be the best school in this area. Kananook Website

  • PTF News

Thankyou to our helpers for the hot dog special lunch at the end of last term: Nicki and

Nadine for counting the orders, Nadine for helping out with the shopping, and Amy,

Carmen, Nadine, Nicki and Simone for helping us both with the lunch on the day.

Thankyou also to the families who joined us at Skateworld on the holidays for the

Kananook Skate date, we had lots of fun and raised some money for the school too!

This term our main fundraiser will be the Christmas Concert BBQ and Raffle. We will be

asking for donations for the raffle in the coming weeks. We will need lots of helpers to

prepare the raffle tickets and prizes leading up to the date, and for the BBQ on the concert

night which will be Wednesday 9th

December, put it in your diary now!

We will also be running some special lunches this term, more information will come home

    with details for each lunch.

You can send us an email at [email protected] if you have any comments or

suggestions, or if you would like to join our mailing list to receive information and

reminders about school banking and PTF events.
