Pampering in a villa

A luxurious retreat in an old-fashioned villa.

The four-hour package includes a welcome toast, a historical tour of the villa, traditional soft heat of a wood-burning sauna, and a pampering treatment of your choice.

The evening is concluded with a seasonal three-course dinner which is set in the dining room overlooking the archipelago. The staff at Villa Grankulla will take care of the guests the whole time.

Forest Therapy

Forest therapy is force from nature, care from nature. It is a treatment to enhance health by visiting a natural forest. Forest is a place for silence and eco-therapeutic activities.

Pulse and blood pressure are measured before and after the forest bathing.

The trip is ecological and litter-free. We will enjoy a herbal infusion brewed in a wooden cup, coffee and a pastry during the trip.

Experience the life in a rural log hut in the 1840’s.

Stories of the deserters in the 1940’s come alive at an earth lodge.

Natural crafts in the beautiful ice-age sculpted Hiittenharju ridge landscape. The Hiittenharju ridge used to be an island right after the ice-age and you can still spot the old shores of the Littorina Sea. There are also plenty of stone and bronze age dwelling and grave sites on the ridge. The medieval Huovintie route to Turku passed through the ridge.

We will craft a small lucky charm out of natural or recycled materials during the trip.

Ice fishing trip on a wilderness lake

Experience the magical and enchanting natural wilderness lake that will transfer you away from this time and place until a catch awakens you by pulling fiercely on your line. You can spot wild animal tracks, such as elk, deer, otter or lynx, on the lake ice and beaches.

The fish in the lake include trout and rainbow trout. Halfway through our trip we will enjoy campfire coffee and a packed lunch in a fishing hut warmed by the fire.

Yyteri Surf Centre (Yyterin Surfkeskus) offers teaching and equipment rental for windsurfing, kitesurfing and SUP boarding in the summer season. Teaching and equipment rental is available for individuals and groups.

Equipment rental includes boarding equipment, a wet suit, booties and a buoyancy aid. The centre has heated dressing rooms, toilets and showers for customers.

The centre owns a unique sauna for hire for families and groups during the summer season on the bay Yyterinlahti.

We will leisurely bike to the river Kaasmarkunjoki nature trail and an old mill. We continue on to the Leineperi ironworks to have coffee in the traditional Savipakari café. After the trip everybody can help to prepare a scrumptious game or a fish meal that we will enjoy in a beautiful natural setting. To conclude the experience we will have a campfire coffee.

You can go to a sauna and stay overnight in picturesque sauna cabins or experience the closeness of nature to the fullest and feel the soothing and health enhancing effect it has on you by sleeping in a paired lean-to in real wilderness style.

Nature trip to paradise

We will explore a beautiful herb-rich forest and the buildings and pine forest surroundings of the Satalinna hospital. There are a multitude of plants and animals in the herb-rich forest.

The nature trail follows the meandering River Kokemäki and if we are lucky, we may catch a sight of a king fisher nesting on the sand banks.

Depending on the time of the trip we might also hear some night birds singing.

Experience the old times in a genuine traditional sailing ship. Galeas Ihana is a sailing ship built locally in Luvia, Satakunta. Laitakari island in Luvia is a traditional mooring and dock area for sailing ships. The ship was built by volunteers using traditional ship building methods.

Trip to the lighthouse island Säppi

We depart on a boat from Kuuminainen point and travel for 20 minutes to the Säppi island.

On the island the guide will take us to explore the 140-year-old light house, tell stories of the life on the island 60 years ago and show us the island’s unique nature.

The international Nature Tourism project financed by Leader Karhuseutu programme has branded and compiled over 50 products in a tourist guide. We have consulted the project’s international partners to help us identify and brand the main tourist attractions in the region. The guide is available for hotels, travel agencies, enterprises and private persons to market tourism in the Karhuseutu area.
