Dear Parent/Guardian,

Thank you for considering Kid City Ravenswood for your summer camp destination. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting summer of sports, learning, and friendship. KCR is dedicated to giving your child(ren) a safe and active learning environment.

KCR is looking forward to impacting the community of Ravenswood and Chicago with an exciting experience for children. The summer of fun and adventure begins June 10, 2019. Kid City Ravenswood will give each camper an opportunity to excel in education, friendship, and physical growth. Purposeful activities and programs will help keep their minds fresh and ready for the next school year.

Kid City Ravenswood will be offering sports, learning, and parks activities. We at KCR are dedicated to giving your child(ren) the time and attention needed for growth and learning at their own pace through each activity.

Kid City Ravenswood

Kid City Ravenswood provides children with engaging and exciting summer experiences through sports, learning, and friendship. The activities through the summer program will include structured activities, as well as unstructured activities. We are looking forward to a great summer!

Summer Programs:

Sports ActivitiesCampers will be taught the basics of several different sports. They will also be challenged to learn and do their best to succeed in each sport.

Education HourKCR will have special activities on a daily basis which will encourage each camper to become life-long learners. These activities will include a weekly trip to the Library, Spanish, S.T.E.M projects, Bible, and Technology. Campers will be given equal opportunities to grow and learn at their own pace.

Park ActivitiesHeld at Vogle Playlot Park which is located at 2100 W. Lawrence Ave

Policies and Procedures:

Purpose — Kid City Ravenswood aims to honor Christ in all that we do. In order to fulfill our purpose, we will provide a safe environment for your child(ren) to learn, grow, and have fun. Every child will be challenged to succeed in every area of summer camp with the help and guidance of counselors. We want to help your child(ren) grow academically, socially, spiritually, and physically at KCR. Fun and exciting experiences await the campers this summer. Gear up…Get ready…Game on!

Enrollment — Parents or Guardians enrolling children in summer camp must complete a registration form. Forms must be submitted by April 5, 2019, to receive the early registration discount. Any registration forms turned in after April 5, 2019, will be charged the full registration fee. All enrollment fees are non refundable.

Ravenswood Christian School — If your account at Ravenswood Christian School is not current, your child will be unable to attend KCR until your account is made current. If you pay the enrollment fee but your school bill is not current or paid in full, your enrollment fee is non-refundable. If you have any questions, please contact the financial office.

Camp Hours — KCR early drop-off begins at 8:00 am and ends at 9:00 am. Activities will start promptly at 9:00 am and end at 4:00pm. Half days begin at 9:00 am and end at 12:00 pm. After care will begin at 4:00 pm and end at 6:00 pm. Pick-up can be made at any time of the day.

Camp Fees — Are as following:• Early enrollment — $40 due at registration• Enrollment — $75 due at registration• Single-day — $50 due upon drop-off*• Full week — $150 due upon drop-off*• Full week (half-day) — $125 due upon drop off• Half-day — $25 due upon drop off• Extra care — $10 an hour*• Unscheduled day — $10 per a camper

Payment Options — Are as following:• Single-day — $50 for the first camper. Each additional camper is $30.• Full week — $150 for the first camper. Each additional camper is $125.• Full week (Half-day) — $125 for each camper.• Half-day — $25 for each camper.• Full summer payment

*Payment due upon drop-off.*Full week payment is due each Monday of the current week.*Extra care Payments due each Friday of the current week.

Overdue Balance — If your account falls one week behind, you will be notified about the balance, and if it is not resolved, your child(ren) camp attendance will be suspended until your account is current.

Return Drafts or Checks to Kid City Ravenswood for Non-Sufficient Funds — Any drafts or checks returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF) will be subjected to an additional $25 service charge.

Lunch — Each parent or guardian is responsible for his child’s lunch and snacks. A vending machine will be made available to campers.

Camper Ages — KCR is for ages 3 - 12 years old. All K3 - K4 campers MUST be potty trained and able to use the restroom without assistance.

Schedule — Parents or guardians will receive a Kid City Ravenswood Summer Camp calendar upon registration. Which must indicate planned attendance. Per our fees any unscheduled day will be charged accordingly. This will allow us to plan for our staff scheduling to meet the needs of each camper. The parents or guardians will be billed according to the schedule. With the exception that you give adequate notice of the campers absence.

Personal Belongings — Items brought to camp should be clearly labeled with names. Campers will be assigned a space to store personal belongings while attending camp. Items left in public areas will be place in lost and found. Items not claimed within a two-week period will be discarded. KCR is not be responsible for personal items that are misplaced, stolen, or broken.

Appropriate Footwear — Campers are expected to wear footwear that is appropriate for outdoor activities. No open toed shoes.

Discipline — KCR staff will treat each camper with respect and set clear expectations and boundaries. Children are expected to show respect to their peers and staff, as well as the facilities and equipment. Frequent disrespect towards peers, staff, or property may result in a child’s dismissal from KCR summer camp.
