The Good, Bad, and The Ugly

The Good (some of it, there’s lots)

• You can still use Skype it if you wish• You can communicate with regular Skype using SfB and search the regular Skype

directory for contacts.

• Even people without SfB can join your SfB meetings. They simply use a web interface to

join.

• There is a SfB app for all you favorite mobile devices.

• Uses data or WiFi instead of cellular minutes

• There is an Outlook plugin that allows you to add SfB details to invites

• It integrates with InterCall (so both telephone and Skype Audio in the same call)

The Bad (nothing is perfect)

• Still dependent on internet connectivity, so the experience can vary.

• Can’t call a regular phone line. (Yet)

• Your giant list of Skype contacts is not portable to SfB. You need to re-search and add

those contacts to SfB.

The Ugly (but getting prettier all the time)

• Recording. You can record, and we do have a place to post them. It’s just untested.

The SfB Plan

• Sfb is part of our standard image

• We still have some stragglers with Lync, but we’re picking them off

• Everyone gets a headset

• All employees have a headset that works with both their desk phone

and PC

• Ongoing scrub of WebEx accounts and InterCall accounts.

Training:• IT hosts a series of Brown Bags to provide a general and targeted

overview of the tool.

• How to Helpdesk (HELP) (Vitalyst)

Host a SfB Cocktail (or Mocktail) party.

Classic Bourbon Manhattan

1. 2 oz. Bourbon

2. 1 oz. Italian Sweet Vermouth

3. 2 dashes Angostura Bitters

4. 1 Cherry

Add all the ingredients to a mixing

glass and fill with ice.

Stir, and strain into a chilled

cocktail glass.

Garnish with a cherry
