Rosie King was born In the town of YorkshireHer family loved her so muchThat’s for sure

Their baby, RosieWas such a delightThe way she could see the worldIt was quite a sight!

They didn’t quite know That creative Rosie KingHad a magic power She could think of anything!

At 10 years old, Rosie was toldThat she was born with AutismThis blessing gave her creativityAnd her destiny for activism

Her imagination was so vividShe could draw for hoursFrom pixies to goblinsAnd even bunches of flowers

She was so creative That she could exit this worldAnd enter a new one with fairies and trollsIt was her own dreamworld

To her, she wasn’t just playingShe lived in two placesBoth the one that she createdAnd our everyday spaces

Her imaginative world would be so excitingShe would often begin to stimAs an outlet for her energyBecause her imagination would make her grin

But sometimes she had a lot of troubleWhen it came to finding a playmateThey thought she was weirdBecause her worlds didn’t always translate

And it was very hardFor her to pay attention in schoolAnd listen to her teacherWhen the world in her mind was so cool

Because nobody could see inside her mind,Teachers and students thought she was badBut really she was thinking in a different waySo this made her very sad.

Her teachers and classmatesJust didn’t understand That Rosie could see things differentlyAnd that her imagination was super grand!

Despite the difficultiesHer autism found who was genuineAnd which friends were trueAnd who really loved her from within

People admired Rosie KingFor her ability to writeAnd explain her capabilitiesAnd her imaginative might

When she was just seventeenShe helped write a TV showAbout an imaginative boy like her A little boy named Pablo
