INSPIRATIONAL STORY

Enjoy the moment

“After spending nearly every waking minute with Angel for eight straight days, I knew that I had to tell her just one thing. So late at night, just before she fell asleep, I whispered it in her ear. She smiled – the kind of smile that makes me smile back –and she said, „When I‟m seventy-five and I think about my life and what it was like to be young, I hope that I can remember this very mo-ment.‟

A few seconds later she closed her eyes and fell asleep. The room was peaceful – almost silent. All I could hear was the soft purr of her breath-ing. I stayed awake thinking about the time we‟d spent together and all the choices in our lives that made this moment possible. And at some point, I realized that it didn‟t matter what we‟d done or where we‟d gone. Nor did the future hold any significance.

All that mattered was the serenity of the moment.

Just being with her and breathing with her.”

Inaugural Function of NCC Discipline is built by consistently performing small acts of courage.

KLE Society’s School, Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru took pride in in-augurating a prestigious NCC Junior Division/Junior wing in the school on 11th August, 2021 which was another stepping stone for the development of self-discipline, problem solving and other interpersonal skills in students.

The illustrious guests for the occasion were Inspector General of Police Mr. Chandra Sekhar, IPS and Commanding Officer – Commander B N Ravikiran.

The function commenced with an invocation song followed by the welcome speech, introduction of the chief guests, lighting of the lamp, describing the importance of NCC and unveiling the NCC board, thereby commencing a unique and unforgetta-ble event in the school’s journal and imbibing core values such as loyalty, leadership, discipline, responsibility and a spirit of adventure.

The honourable guests shared rich experiences and thoughts which could be a wise takeaway home for each one present at the function. Inspector General of Police Mr. Chandra Sekhar expressed that in order to forge ahead towards success, one must overcome fear which acts as a prominent barrier in any one's day to day lives. He also said that for any kind of venture that you have accomplished, a self-introspection is needed to better oneself. One must have courage to speak the truth and take the right action.

Commanding Officer – Commander B N Ravikiran also reiter-ated on giving up fear while moving towards achieving your goals. He also stated that students need to imbibe discipline in every sphere of life and take up NCC for a committed service to the nation.

It was a fulfilling event that could set in the morals and values that needs to be inculcated amongst students. The lesson learnt from the day’s delightful event is that a NCC cadet al-ways stands distinguished from the general population with high development in discipline and interpersonal skills. NCC gives a sneak peek into the defence forces. Over and above anything, the joy of serving one’s own nation brings about a high sense of contentment in one’s heart.

Even though the Covid-19 pandemic has been a dampener for most events, the school didn’t let it bring down its patriotic spirit.

With the nation celebrating its 75th Independence

STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT

ACHIEVEMENT

Most things in life are pretty sim-ple, but they are usually not easy. It demands hard work.

Student achievement measures the amount of Curricular and co- cur-ricular content a student learns in a determined amount of time. It re-fers to the extent to which a stu-dent has attained their short or long term goal. A student who is self- motivated always energizes and directs his behaviour towards achieving success. The more a stu-dent achieves, he/she can build confidence and increase his/her self-esteem and surely improve in their own areas of learning.

Here are some of the certificates of

the student achievers of our

school from various grades who

have shown a splendid perform-

ance in their own areas of learning.

India: The Next World power? Every Optimistic Indian would assert an affirmation on this, but it's time one had a reality check on this. My ap-proach towards this topic is neither haloed by utopian fantasy nor dipped in gloom. After several days of moral thinking, I zeroed up on the following which the west can severely exploit and crush Indian growth: Language: "A nation without a language is dumb". This language, that I am communicating to you in, is English; the language of England. India has more than 19,569 languages. Yet the 1.39 billion number wants to master one language; the lan-guage of our invaders! India today faces the Battle of the Rāṣṭrabhāṣā Conundrum. In India, English language = Suc-cess. But I ponder how China, Russia, Japan, and Germany make it to the top five economies even when its majority populace doesn't know English! Little do Indians realize that Sanskrit alone is that language that can bind, unite and develop India. Education:

"India has been conquered once, but India must be conquered again and the second conquest should be a conquest by Education"

Max Muller The British Custom shaped Indian Education to suit their purpose. Our books mention Newton, but conveniently unseen gravitation laws mentioned in the Upanishads. Indians are not taught that it was their own who edified the rest of the world Science and Technology. Instead, UK links Indian Culture with Terror! The Church Education System was a Trojan Horse, and the Horse did work and is working even now. India today faces a seriously tough Battle For Self; A Battle to Shake off the Shackles of the Raj! Economy: We must not forget that Germany lost World War II only because of failed Economic plans. This important Economy is! But India is an economic failure. The short-sighted approach of our leaders and ignorant economic schemes has held back our Economy. We have micro-economic measures being implemented. What the country needs is macro-economic policies and that we have not yet done! Even today, if we follow the right economic policies, the Indian economy can pullulate. We have all the ability, resources, and capacity. Just that India should compel to impart Eco-nomic cognizance to its young brains. Governance: India is the World's largest Democracy, and we are already in the 75th year of autonomy. But, Indian governance is at a toss.

a. Indian sports governance is very untoward. We must discern that without infrastructural evolution and human

capital infusion, mere '#Cheer4India' & 'Victory Punches' won't help our Sporting Future!

b. Indian Judicial governance is the worst. With the immense need to reform the Judiciary being pretermitted, the

criminality of the highest levels is being ignored. Corrupt politicians exist everywhere, but in India, they rule. If India corrects itself on these battle fields, there can be no one stopping it from stepping the saga of “World Power”! Hope this article can bring some awareness to my young friends. -Aaditya Acharya, 10B

Behind The Scenes [Society] I don’t like how society is run, no, Always work, no play, no fun, oh, Harm in being who you wanna be, I wish I could really make you see! What goes on, behind the scenes, the scenes, People get what they want through bad means, It’s always reality behind the scenes, One’s always gotta raise their own reigns! A law on whom you can love, Why not look below and above? Does it have to be the same? Love’s not really something you can tame.

“Be this, be that, LISTEN TO ME!” We are only human, why can’t you see? Perfection will always hide in the errors, True beauty lies in those with no terrors. Please don’t attack me for point-ing this out, Rules and the law isn’t what I’m trying to flout. Open your eyes, look around you, Everyone’s feelings are slowly turning blue. - Aaruhi Uppin, 7A

Balu

Padmavibhushan Dr Sripathi Panditarudalya Balasubrahmanyam! Or simply Balu. The first Balu song that I remember is 'Pranathi Pranathi Pranathi' from the movie Swatikiranam. I loved the song initially because Balu sir renders my name three times on the trot. My mother and my father were big fans of the evergreen artist. Slowly, I learned that he is liked not only by everybody in the family, but by everybody in the state, country, as well as the world. The silken smooth voice melts everybody without an exception. Balu sir has mentioned that in his next janma/birth, he would like to be born in Karna-taka and as a Kannadiga. This is not only because he is loved so much in Karnataka, it is because he was born in Andhra Pradesh and his career was groomed in Tamil Nadu. Balu sir was equally good in the three languages. The eternal dramatist Master Hiran-naiah has said that Balu sir told him how Kannada has rich literature and unparalleled heritage. Balu sir has sung 'Lokasumke keta hogaayte' for the dramatist. Balu sir won the National Award for song on six occasions in four different languages. His first song was 'Emme Emme EE Moham" from the movie Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramana and the first Kannada song was "Kanasido Nenasido" from Nakkare Ade Swarga. SPB sir did a lot of charity and his association with the Karnataka Hemophilia Society, Davengere is well known. SPB Fans Charitable Foundation has done a lot of donations over the past two decades and my parents took me to one of such events and the photo is included here.
