Knight's Atari April 2013 "A great artist can paint a great picture on a small canvas." - Charles Dudley Warner It's entirely possible that Warner meant something profoundly metaphorical by the above statement, but at Knight's Atari we have learned that thinking about things rarely does anyone any good. I was surprised to learn recently that there have been 36 contributors to Knight's Atari since September. We would like to extend a massive thanks to all of them, and to you, dear readers. Without you, we would have run the risk of doing something vaguely productive with our time. For April's issue we encouraged all previous contributors to send us in some manner of doodle. Some were too lazy or too busy allegedly studying for exams or too cool or whatever. You break my fucking heart, guys :( We did manage to get a shitload of doodles for you folks though, so we do hope you enjoy them. With any luck, you'll find something you can laugh at or puzzle over or masturbate to. Contributors this month were: Aidan, Barry, Blue, Brendan, Cáit, Caoimhín, Conall, Dave, Dylan, Fintan, Grace, Kevin, Joe, Jorge, Leo, Martin, Méabh, Padraig, Patrick, Rosemary, Thai and Tom. Massive congratulations and, consequently, the €100 prize are due to Sarah Kennedy who won our erotic cake competition with her pervertedly delicious "Two Barbies, One Cup". All of the entries were great though, and if Knight's Atari had more money we'd give all of you prizes. Check out facebook.com/KnightsAtari for photos of all the gratifying entries. NSFW, though, unless you work in a cool place like Knight's Atari HQ. Actually, if any of you would like to get involved, drop us an email to [email protected] . There's no pay, but people seem to be all about what one can put on one's CV these days, right? I know my LinkedIn profile proudly lists "Editor and Toilet Reviewer at Knight's Atari" above "PhD in Mathematics". I am unemployed, mind. This month's Knight's Atari competition is to come up with a design for the back of the Knight's Atari hoodies. Since funds are low we can only offer €50 for this month's prize, but if there's a large demand for the hoodies, I suppose you could try to haggle a free hoodie out of us too. Instead of encouraging you to recycle this month's Knight's Atari we've left one of the pages blank, for you to draw your own doodle on and then maybe pass it, along with, perhaps, a dedication, to a friend or a passing stereotyped lass with something breasts. Knight's Atari, ChessSoc and GoSoc will continue to disgust you throughout the summer, so come along and meet the team of a Wednesday evening in Smokey's. You can bring cake, if you like.

"A great artist can paint a great picture on a small canvas." - Charles Dudley Warner

It's entirely possible that Warner meant something profoundly metaphorical by the above statement, but at Knight's Atari we have learned that thinking about things rarely does anyone any good.

A thirsty Thai makes good use of his Knight's Atari cup, which came free with last month's issue.

Nonogram:

Rules: Colour in the grid so that the clues(numbers) at the sides correspond to the number of blocks coloured in along that row or column. The separate clues indicate that there must be a gap between the coloured-in blocks, e.g. for the clue 3, 15 at the top, 3 blocks must be coloured in downwards, then there is a gap, followed by 15 blocks coloured in(3+1+15=19).
