Body Active A health and fitness class focussing on improving the cardiovascular system, strength, endurance, flexibility and co-ordination. This class is suitable for mature adults and clients who have finished the exercise referral programme. Bodypump Non-impact class combining high repetition weight training with aerobic conditioning. It will tone and condition your body, can help you lose weight and ultimately change your body shape. Suitable for all levels. NOTE: A 15 minute session prior to each class is dedicated to technique for beginners. Friday Fitness 30 minute circuit training session followed by 30 minutes of floor exercises designed to increase strength, stamina and flexibility. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Step and Shape A combination of step moves designed to keep both body and mind in tune. Legs, Tums and Bums A class specifically aimed at toning those difficult areas of the body. Muscle Pump A weight work-out which tones, forms and strengthens with guaranteed results. Total Tone A combination of body sculpting exercises designed to tone and strengthen all areas of the body. Shape and Tone A resistance class with hand weights targeting major muscle groups. Stretch and Shape This class offers all over body conditioning. Tri Work-out A mixed work-out split into three sections - Boxercise, Step and Core Conditioning. Weighted Work-out A weight work-out to tone and strengthen the body. Body Combat A non-contact, martial art-based fitness programme with moves drawn from karate, tae kwan do, kung fu, kickboxing, Muay Thai and t’ai chi. Fighting Fit This class covers a ‘combat’ training perspective without the contact. Includes aerobic style warm up, dynamic stretching, bag and pad work, body weight exercise without equipment and a 20 mins circuit. Kick Boxing An all round high energy general fitness work-out, including pad work with former British champion Mick McCue. 16+. Dance Fusion A dance based workout mixing hip hop, latin, funk and jazz. Dance N’ Tone A fun full body work out, targeting legs, tums, bums and arms with a dance work out. Step a combination of step moves designed to keep both the body and mind in tune. Zumba A fun energetic class combing spicy dance rhythms – Cumbia, Samba, Salsa, Latin and Merengue/Hip Hop. Cardiovascular and interval training to torch fat and calories. Easy to follow steps, you’ll be so busy having fun you’ll forget you’re exercising. Core Body Yoga A dynamic, energetic flowing sequence of postures followed by deeper stretches once the body is warm. Sessions always end in relaxation. A complete body work-out for all ages and all fitness levels. Tai Chi & Relaxation This class will relax the mind and body. It gently tones and strengthens muscles, improves your balance and posture and can also improve some medical conditions eg. cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive disorders. Fitness Pilates A safe, sensible exercise system that will help you look and feel your very best. It develops body awareness, improving and changing the body’s postural and alignment habits, and increases flexibility and ease of movement. Power Fitness Pilates All the benefits of Fitness Pilates with the added speed of a cardio workout and the power of resistance bands, free weights and toning balls. Stott Pilates An updated version of Joseph Pilates classes focusing on inner core. Vinyasa Yoga Combining traditional poses in a vinyasa flow (breath-synchronized movement), Vinyasa Yoga strengthens the core body, builds flexibility and stamina, and brings about mental and physical wellbeing. A unique flow is created each week based on the needs of the students in attendance, to cultivate their strength, fluidity and creativity. Vinyasa yoga is suitable for all levels.
