supporting to build a happy healthy connected community
Your New Nature PlayspaceThe existing playspace at Windermere Reserve will be replaced with a new and exciting play space that has a focus on natural play and eco-friendly materials.
Included within the proposed play space isa new timber and steel play structure withinclusive features, slides, tunnel, monkey bars, rock climbing wall, as well as a new swing set, double spring rocker and seating.
Garden beds with informal / indigenous plantings are incorporated within the play space to provide opportunities for natural play and to create habitat for native birds and butterfl ies.
Why Nature Play?Playing outdoors is benefi cial for us all, as it helps us connect with nature and allows us to learn, explore and imagine. Play is signifi cant in the development of children’s physical, social and creative skills.
Natural play spaces, such as the proposed redevelopment for your local reserve, provide children with the experience of both traditional play equipment and natural elements.
