KOOIMAN ANCHOR WINCHES

The Kooiman winches are simple in design and built from standard com-ponents. They are driven via a closed steel gearbox with oil bath. The high-grade steel machined gears feature helical gearing for fast turning and spur gears for the slowly turning wheels. All intermediate shafts are fitted with ball bearings. The combination of this robust techno-logy ensures high torque and smooth operation. A substantial access lid to the gearbox enables easy inspection of the gears and the oil level.

The main shaft is mounted with bronze bushings and provided with a chainwheel and/or wire drum with built-in friction coupling. One person alone can easily operate the coupling with a large handwheel, next to the chainwheel/wire drum. With the chainwheel and/or wire drum stationary, a warping drum on the main shaft can still be used.

The winches are available in many configurations, with friction clutches or dog clutches. The gearbox and driving motor share one foundation. This facilitates easy mounting on site.

The winches are optionally supplied with electric, hydraulic motor or an internal combustion engine. These are coupled with either a centrifugal/chain coupling (diesel) or a safety/slip coupling (electric).
