G'day again folks and what a great week in Bali with the race thatstops a Nation The Melbourne Cup , Now if I was a gambling man Iwould have chucked a few dollars on the favourite and hoped that Bart

thgot his 13 win, however the race was won by the big horse called

americain. Just imagine if you put a fiver each way on that hey!!!

Anyway moving right along there is one thing I am at a loss to

understand up here and that's the damn gas bottles. They are simply

put dangerous. They have a regulator that just clips on to the top of the

bottle and they wobble around and fit rather loosely. During the week I thought I would cook a roast lambthat I had brought back with me from Australia and whacked it in the oven for the few hours it needed to be

right and sat in my office to catch up on emails while the house filled with that fantastic smell of cookinglamb.

About an hour or so past and I thought I would go and check out the sizzling piece in the oven and I

just made the office door when an almighty fire ball exploded into the kitchen and part of the dining room,

scaring the absolute piss out of me. The force was so strong it blew the door off the oven and ripped a hole

through the back of the stove. After the initial shock I calmly grabbed the fire extinguisher and put the

regulator out, as it was ablaze, before it ignited the bottle itself and then put the power board at the back of

the oven out before the rest of the kitchen caught on fire. Basically the fitting had been leaking for as long as

the oven had been working and eventually when the gas met the flame inside the oven BOOOM. Like I said

I just don't understand why they don't have a screw on tight fitting regulator system up here and why theykeep the bottle in a cabinet that makes up half the oven itself. Very very dangerous. So my advice to anyone

who installs a gas oven in their place up here is to plumb the bottle up on the outside of the building to

ensure they don't get any surprises while cooking a lamb roast. Needless to say I ended up eating halfcooked roast lamb sandwich's for dinner that night. Ok that's my ramble again for another week, be safe, be

well and remember, Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils. Enjoy your week,

Despite Volcanic Explosion of MountMerapi, It's Business as Usual in Yogyakartaand Borobudur.

Following the explosion of Mt. Merapi inCentral Java on Tuesday, October 26, 2010,government and officials in Central Java have wastedno time in issuing statement to assure the public thatYogyakarta remains a safe destination for internationaltourists.

One hour's flight from Bali or Jakarta, international and domestic flights continued to operatewithout interruption into Yogyakarta's Adi SuciptoAirport until Saturday, October 30th, when volcanicdust deposited on the runway necessitated a

temporary closure of the airport while clean up crewcleared away material. Dust debris caused by thevolcano's explosion also layed a fine film of ash overYogyakarta's main thoroughfare of Jalan Malioboro.

The ash from the still very active volcano isfalling largely in a pattern to the south and southwest ofMerapi, with dust deposits reported as far away asCiamis, West Java.

Merapi volcano is located 30 kilometers fromYogyakarta. The eruptions caused devastation toareas with a 7 kilometers radius of the mountain'speak. Government officials had ordered the evacuationof the affected areas prior to the eruption, but some

residents stubbornly clung to mystical beliefsthat they somoehow enjoyed special protection fromnature's wrath. As a result, a family of 15 people, including the famous mystical "Mountain Guard"Mbah Marijan, sheltering just 4 kilometers from themountain's peak, were killed when Merapi erupted.

While volcanic dust was deposited on theBorobudur Temple, standing 30 kilometers formMerapi, the World Heritage site was undamaged andremains open to the public. Caretakers advise that thedust deposited on the monument has now beencleared away.

While visits to villages in the foothill of thevolcano are not permitted while the mountain remain

IT'S the biggest dead-end job ever.NASA is looking for volunteers to fly to Mars

    - the snag is that you won't come back.It is actively investigating the possibility of

humans colonising worlds such as the RedPlanet.

The settlers would be sent suppliesfrom Earth but would go on the understanding

that it would be too costly to bring them home.NASA revealed that it had alreadyreceived more than $1 million to commencework on the project at its Ames ResearchCentre in California.

Centre director Pete Worden, whoclaimed humans could be living on Mars by2030 despite the inhospitable conditions, said:"The human space program is now aimed atsettling other worlds.

"Twenty years ago you had to whisperthat in dark bars or get fired."

Mr Worden told a conference in SanFrancisco that he had discussed with Googleco-founder Larry Page the potential for one-way trips to Mars.

Scientists say much of the cost of sucha mission is associated with bringing theastronauts home - the price of sending 20 Marssettlers with a one-way ticket would be equal tobringing four astronauts back.

Experts say a nuclear-fuelled rocketcould make the journey in four months.

Of all the planets in the solar system,Mars is the most likely to have substantialquantities of water, making it the best bet forsustaining life.

But it is a forbidding place to set uphome. Temperatures plummet way below

technologies, such as synthetic biology andalterations to the human genome, could be exploredahead of the mission.

Writing in the Journal of Cosmology, scientists Dirk Schulze-Makuch and Paul Daviesenvisaged sending four volunteer astronauts on thefirst mission to colonise Mars.

Swapping Frequent Flier Miles for Chocolate

HAVING a hard time exchanging thosefrequent-flier miles for a ticket? Howabout a box of chocolates instead?

To assuage mounting travelerfrustration over the difficulty of bookingfrequent-flier tickets, airlines are offeringmembers a cornucopia of goods that have littleto do with flights. Starting next month AmericanAirlines plans to let its frequent fliers use milesto book car rentals and hotel stays online.

Earlier this year, Delta revamped its onlineMarketplace, smoothing the purchase processand expanding the merchandise to includeeverything from a -pound tin of Godivachocolates (8,500 miles) to laptops (285,000miles). And next month, Delta will allow allmembers of its loyalty program to exchangemiles for gift cards for stores like Gap andLands' End a perk previously reserved for elitefliers and Delta credit-card holders. Meanwhile,United has created an entire ad campaignaround alternative award options, includinghotel and car rental bookings, and is billing itselfas the airline that wants you to use your miles.

Loyalty Without Seats?Airlines had to do something to

convince loyalty program members that allthose miles they've been racking up are stillworth it. Landing the flight you want usingfrequent-flier miles has long been a challenge, but it's gotten worse over the last two years asairlines have shrunk capacity to increaseprofits. Reward trips in the United Statesdropped 10.3 percent to 21.7 million last yearfrom 24.2 million in 2008, according to the latestdata compiled by IdeaWorks, a loyalty programconsulting firm. And with airlines undercontinual pressure to pack flights with paying

passengers, that free ticket will only becomemore elusive as travel demand rebounds.

If consumers don't see any potential reward atthe end of the mileage-earning road then they're goingto start disengaging from these programs, said TimWinship, editor at large for SmarterTravel.com and thepublisher of FrequentFlier.com. When that happensthe airlines lose the significant revenues generatedfrom the sale of miles to all the program partners.

Enter the chocolates. Alternative awardsattempt to address the perception that may existamong some travelers of difficulty in using their miles, said Tom O'Toole, chief operating officer of MileagePlus Holdings for United, which has also beenpromoting a guarantee that any open seat on its planecan be booked with frequent-flier miles so long asyou're willing to dole out enough miles. We studyintensively what travelers want in a loyalty program, and travelers told us they want to be able to use theirmiles.

HOROSCOPE PREDICTION 4 Nov - 10 Nove 201 0ARIESMarch 20 - Ap ril 19Judging by the current intense planetary focus on jointventures of all kinds and those regarding your assets inparticular, it's a good idea to review where you stand. Youmay think you know exactly what's what. But judging bythe swiftness and extent of recent developments, whatyou learn could be extraordinarily surprising.

TAURUSApril 20 - May 20For some time you've been searching for a way to say adiplomatic 'no,' but you've come up with nothing. That'sbecause the only way to make your feelings clear is to sayprecisely what you mean to. Do it gently and with tact. Butdon't be vague. It will cause confusion.

GEMINIMay 21 - June 20This is one of those rare moments when what begin asdisagreements can swiftly grow into worthwhileexchanges. It's just that you'll have to work your waythrough those issues, enough that you'll be able to discussthem without getting emotional. Once you've achievedthat, you'll be amazed how much you deal with.

CANCERJune 21 - July 21With the planet of relationship, Venus, retrograde and itsfocus being on certain practical arrangements, it might beuseful to review what you organised long ago. While somemay be fine as they are, the odds are good that once youexamine them, you'll realise others could do with timelychanges.

LEOJuly 22 - Aug 22When you work, you do so with such an intensity that youcan forget everything else. Those who know you and loveyou put up with it. Still, you really must take a break. This ispartly for your benefit. But also you need to reassure thosewho've been so patient.

VIRGOAug 23 - Sep 22Nobody would suggest that your thinking is rigid. Yet whenyou make a decision, you tend to regard it as final. With somuch around you, and in your own life, in transition, thiswould only complicate matters. The looser thearrangements you organise, and the more flexible yourthinking, the better.

The trick is to acknowledge these, ask if there's anything you can do, then back off. Simplyknowing you care and are there if needed will do wonders.

SCORPIOOct 23 - Nov 22Don't ignore the tender moments indicated by theencounter between the Sun and Venus in your sign. Whilethe fact Venus is retrograde could mean certain pastissues come to light, there's no better time than now todiscuss them. It's likely that what you learn will actuallybring you closer.

However, things have reached the point at whichsidestepping them is more complicated than any dramasyou'd face. Bring them up. The sooner, the better.

CAPRICORNDec 21 - Jan 19It's understandable that you would regard a conversationin which you're involved, but make no contributions, as awaste of time. Doing the MathHotel rooms, rental cars,

even chocolates may sound like agood deal if you've ever tried to booka frequent-flier ticket only to bethwarted by black-out dates andtiered mileage calendars showingthat the one day you want to flyrequires double the miles. But are thealternatives worth it?

    The answer to that question

depends on how you value yourmiles. The conventional calculationis to divide the price of a ticket by howmany miles you would spend for thesame thing. Using 25,000 miles for a$350 ticket, for example, would yield1.4 cents per mile. By contrast, aKitchenAid 10-piece porcelaincookware set that costs $150 onAmazon.com is listed on United'sonline shopping page for 24,800miles, or 0.6 cents per mile. Here, thefree ticket is clearly the way to go.

But say there are no seatsavailable for 25,000 miles for theflight you want, as when I searchedfor a round-trip ticket on United from

New York to Miami, leaving on aFriday in early November andreturning on Monday. Instead, I hadto spend 50,000 miles for that sameticket, which would yield just 0.7cents per mile. Though not a great

return on miles, now thecookware isn't looking like such a baddeal.

Clothing, electronics andfood are among the worst deals whenit comes to spending miles. Forexample, a North Face Apex Bionicmen's jacket listed for 30,300 mileson Delta.com costs about $130, or0.4 cents a mile. The laptop? About$1,000, or roughly 0.3 cents, a mile.On the other hand, booking hotel and

car rentals with miles tend to offer thebest value next to free airline seats. Anight at the Four Seasons Hotel, LosAngeles at Beverly Hills in earlyNovember was 49,300 miles onUnited.com, or 0.9 cents a mile, at$445 a night on Fourseasons.com. Afull-size car from Alamo was 10,000miles a day, or 0.7 cents a mile, at $73a day on Alamo.com.

Bundling Miles and CashDelta and United also offer the optionof using a combination of miles andcash to book travel. Delta frequentfliers without enough miles in theiraccount get a message during thepayment process to let them know.

We're sorry. You do not have enoughmiles to redeem for your totalitinerary. But don't worry you can stillpay using a combination of miles andmoney.

for 27,604 miles or amiles/cash combination of 14,606and $65 at Delta.com. Not a greatdeal, considering the same staywas going for $140 at Hilton.com.American, which will also let itsloyalty members use miles andcash in combination, plans to offerdiscounts on hotel and carbookings for some elite frequent-flier members.

    American, Delta and

United have actually allowedfrequent fliers to use miles for hoteland car rentals for some time. Butthe process was clunky, requiringan agent's help to manuallyconvert the miles to a cashequivalent and book the hotel, orpresenting a voucher at the carr e n t a l c o u n t e r . N o w t h etransaction, which is powered foreach airline by ezRez, a softwarecompany that specializes in onlinetravel, is similar to booking at anonline travel agency like Expediaor Travelocity and offers a widerange of hotels. American, forexample, will begin offering online

hotel bookings in exchange formiles at more than 10,000locations in over 320 destinationsworldwide in November.

As with any third-partybooking site, be sure to print outyour itinerary and take it with you.United discussion forums onFlyerTalk.com, where travelersshare tips about getting the mostout of loyalty programs, havementioned baffled car-rentalagents and hotel reservations thathave gone missing.

Meanwhile, some frequentfliers are mulling the value of thosechocolates: $25 from Godiva, or

0.3 cents a mile. At these rates, many fliers would hold out for afree ticket instead. But what goodare all those miles if they're justsitting dormant in your account?

The madam opened the brothel door in Milngavie

and saw a rather dignified, well-dressed, good-

looking man in his late forties or early fifties.

"May I help you sir?" she asked. The man replied, "I want to see Suzy."

"Sir, Suzy is one of our most expensive ladies.

Perhaps you would prefer someone else" , said the

    madam.

He replied, "No, I must see Suzy."

Just then, Suzy appeared and announced to the man

    she charged 5000 a visit.

Without hesitation, the man pulled out five

thousand pounds and gave it to Suzy, and they went

    upstairs.

After an hour, the man calmly left.

The next night, the man appeared again, once more

    demanding to see Suzy.

Suzy explained that no one had ever come back twonights in a row as she was too expensive.

"There are no discounts. The price is still 5000."

Again, the man pulled out the money, gave it to

    Suzy, and they went upstairs.

    After an hour, he left.

The following night the man was there yet again.

Everyone was astounded that he had come for a

third consecutive night, but he paid Suzy and they

    went upstairs.

After their session, Suzy said to the man,

"No one has ever been with me three nights in a

    row.

    Where are you from?"

    The man replied, "Edinburgh."

"Really," she said. "I have family in Edinburgh."

"I know." the man said. "Your sister died, and I am

    her Lawyer.

She asked me to give you your 15,000 inheritance."

The moral of the story is that three things in life

    are certain:

    1. Death

    2. Taxes

    3. Being screwed by a lawyer!

    ALL ABOUT BALIBALINESE TRADITIONAL HEALING

As one of Malay ethnic root Balinese havethe same thinking toward the problem ofhealth, and this thinking got influencefrom Asia mainland tradition. In thecourse of times the spirit of new religionssuch as Hindu, Buddhist and Islam havegiven also their concept of solving the

problem of health. The most originalBalinese healing is now can not be seenanymore except the tradition which hasbeen mixed up with various elementsoriginated from the outside influences.

The present traditional methodof Balinese healing can be seen from thecharacter of the healers which arevarious. First is the healer usingtraditional medicine extracted fromplants, animals, and others. This type ofhealer is called " Balian Usadha " Theyhave books as a reference of varioussickness and its medicines including thematerials to make the medicine. Theirtechnique of treating the patient is notonly based on the material concept ofhealing, but they also use charms oramulets or mantras to give more power to

the medicine. It is clear that from themantras the influence of Tantrayanathought has been taken into the activity ofpatient treatment. Some healers from thistype also suggest the patient to conductcertain ceremony, a traditional Hinduritual to the evil spirit to neutralize theirbad spiritual influence. The thought ofpotential power of human being which isnestling at the bottom of the backbonecalled " cakra" is also one way to selfhealing for human being. By bringingcakra into alive the diseases can beneutralized. To develop the potency ofcakra one has to train himself throughmeditation and fasting of certain meal andaction. Every one is said to have sixcakras, and if all cakras can be brought tolive one will radiate a nimbus or auraaround his/her body. This is the indicationhat his/her health has been reachingcomplete enlightment of health. Onefamous Balian usadha in Bali is found inthe edge of Bangli known which can bevisited during Kintamani tour with priorarrangement with tour guide. Or atBatumakaem village, can be visited withprior arrangement during BedugulJatiluwih tour or when a visitor take shorttour to Tanah Lot tour. A famous balianusadha yet mixed with modern techniqueof treatment is at Besakih village. Manytourist have already visited his practice

    while joining Besakih templetour

Second type of Balinese healeris not by learning a book of medicine, butthrough revelation of natures power orspirit of the invisible. This type of healeralso giving medicine but not formulatedone, usually consist of water, flowersand other materials which are not

necessary have name. This materialsafter given a ceremony at healers familytemple or special room at his/her housethen given to the patient to be used aspowder or pounded to drink or to use aspaste. It is often also with this healer thatthe patient is asked to conduct a ritual atthe home to the bad spirit who can affecthuman body and minds. This type ofhealer in Bali is called " Balian Taksu ".Taksu means personal potency which isgiven the enlightment by invisible powerof nature or holy spirits. It is hard to findthis type of Balian, if it is exist he/sheoften over visited not only by commonpeople but also those educated, highrank, and rich people because of his/hermagic result. It is often that a patient hasbeen consulted by modern physicianand even punished of uncured can berecovered by this type of healer. Thebasic concept of this healer is veryethical way of dedication to human life.As it is said hat the healer can not expectgood return of his/her profession. Aslong as he/she can bring this concept inhelping patient the treatment willeffective, and once changes theirorientation into money the treatment willnot work. So they will live from voluntarydonation from patient which is put on theoffering in the form of small money cal led" Sarin Canang " which is actually the

sometimes the balian workwithout reward at all.

Third healer is a kind ofmedium to invisible spirits. A mediumis mostly women, who can speak andhearing and discuss with invisiblebeing including the ancestors of the

patient. This is actually not a healer, but by her advises, often a longchronicle disease can be cured withhope and changing of perception intheir daily life which is disclosedduring the meeting of this balian. Butstill in Bali this medium is called "Balian Matuun ". Matuun means askadvises from invisible spiri ts,ancestors and others of the problemthe patient is facing. Normally thepatient has asked help or consulthis/her sickness to both traditionalhealers and modern physician buthas been no hope. With this situationthe family decided to go for a "matuun" and come to the balian. Thebalian does not give any medicine, but normally advises that both the

patient or the ancestor of the patienthave ever done something worrying, such as building a house at wrongplace, put some thing at wrong place, promise to make ceremony yet notrealized, and many others. In this waythe patient is informed of anymisdeeds or promises even done byhim or his/her ancestors. Bad side ofthis advises is often give clue to aperson who has bad intention to thepatient and his family with very vaigueindication. The indication then can befall to wrong person. It is often saidthat the person who in the case it isthe cause, live an west side of thepatient or a cross the river and others. This is indeed a dangerous hints foranybody.

Among three type oftraditional healers in Bali almost allhold the opinion that diseases can becaused by the deeds of human. Thereare human who created the disease (the leak ) and there is a healer ( balian) to neutralize their sickness. The leakand the balian often involve in aserious battle to resist each purposewhich is reflected by the bolt of fire inthe darkness even though here is norain, no thunder.

Any hope of an upsetevaporated in 13 minutes ofEnglish ineptness and Australianbrilliance as the home side ran infour tries for a 26-8 half-time lead.

    Lewis gave Australia a

fifth-minute lead when threeconsecutive sets proved toomuch for England to handle.

But the tourists repliedwhen Sam Burgess crashed overunder the posts following abrilliant James Roby pass.

A Paul Gallen high tackleallowed Ben Westwood to putEngland ahead via a penalty goalbut that, and the arrival of rain, signalled the beginning of the end

    f o r t h evisitors as the errorscrept in.

be fore opposi tewinger Tom Briscoecame up with amonumental gaffeoff a Darren Lockyerkick to allow BillySlater to swoop andscore.

    Another errorresulted in Brent

Tate finding the line for a 20-8lead, though there was plenty ofdoubt about the put down as hewas carried over the touchline.

Willie Tonga completedthe first-hal onslaught whenLewis unselfishly passed up on ahat-trick after picking up a loosepass.

England headed to thesheds with fears of anotherhammering like the 52-4 belting itreceived on its last trip toMelbourne in 2008.

There was some hopeamong the smattering for Englishfans in the 18,894-strong crowdwhen Luke Robinson scythedover from 10 metres out threeminutes after the restart, but it didnot last long as Lote Tuqiri wentover four minutes later to take thewind out of the visitors.

England had every rightto feel aggrieved with a blatantforward pass from Lewis toCooper Cronk in the lead-up tothe try.

Australia put the marginbeyond three converted trieswhen Cameron Smith completedthe scoring with a penalty goaljust shy of the hour.

I'm inked therefore I am: Why tatts have left a mark on Gen YKate Perriman, 29, got her first tattoo aged 21 - acherry blossom on her back. Now 40 per cent of herbody is covered in tattoos. "It is artwork, another formof expressing yourself."ONE in four youn g Australians has a tattoo.

An image of a Japanese Koi fish painted inorange ink on the arms, an Italian love phrase scrawledacross the ribcage, or praying hands on the chest are hitswith 16- to 30-year-olds across Sydney.

Most parents hate them and recruitmentagencies tell young job-hunters to cover them or risk

missing out on a job - butGeneration Y's love affair withtattoos is exploding.

Matthew Sammut, 21,got his f i rst tat too lastWednesday - a colourful replicaof the graphics illustrating thevideo game Street Fighter nowcovers his right arm fromshoulder to wrist.

An hour into his five-hour, $750 session at Penrith'sWicked Ink, the fitter fromFairfield was wincing in pain.

But Mr Sammut, whose 16-year-old brother iscovered in tattoos, said it was worth it.

"It's artwork, and it looks cool," he said."My mates all have sleeve tattoos. It's a big thing

these days, and I really wanted one."

Mr Sammut said "plenty of guys" in his industrywere "covered in ink" and he wore protective clothing onthe job.

"So I'm not worried about the tattoo for work," hesaid.

Tattoo experts say A-listers including AngelinaJolie, Megan Fox, David and Victoria Beckham and NRLstars such as Benji Marshall and Todd Carney havehelped make inking acceptable.

The indelible markings are now so commonplacethat youngsters are pushing the boundaries, opting for thebiggest, brightest designs to cover an entire arm or leg, theneck, chest, back or torso.

The tattooed generation say that despite obviousstyles and trends, tattooing is art - a way to express theirindividuality.

Social researcher Mark McCrindle estimatesabout one in three Australians in their mid-30s has atattoo.

He says Gen Y is the first generation in whichtattoos have become mainstream.

"Tattooing is ubiquitous, and we haven't seen awhole generation get tattoos in such prominent ways, thenmove through their 50s and 60s," Mr McCrindle sai d.

John Tadrosse, the owner of Bondi Ink, saidcelebrities had glamorised tattoos, which were no longerassociated only with motorcycle gangs.

He said many young Australians viewed tattoosas a way in which they could express their "star quality".

"The exposure tattooing is getting is huge, and it'sappealing to young people," Mr Tadrosse said, whilefilming a reality television show about Bondi Ink.

"It's rock 'n' roll, it's surf culture. All the movie stars aregetting tattoos now.

"And they're not little tattoos, they're huge."We did Nate Myles from the Roosters - and then his

mother and his sister came in to get tattoos."Mr Tadrosse said there was no longer such a stigma

attached to tattooing or tattoo parlours. "It's not bad to walk into atattoo shop any more," he said.

Vanessa Morgan, the editor of Inked Australia/NZmagazine, said reality television shows in the US - including LAInk and Miami Ink - had "demystified the whole experience" of

getting a tattoo, making it moreappealing to young people.

"Previously, people wereworried about walking into thosealleys and into something they didn'tunderstand," Ms Morgan said.

"Now they understand andaren't scared of the process."

Ms Morgan reckons about25 per cent of under-30s have at leastone tattoo.

"Even parents understand itnow, so they're not so worried about

their kids going out and doing it," she said.Despite the wider acceptance of tattoos, Kelly Services

recruitment agent Emma McClure said the agency advisedthose seeking jobs in the corporate world to cover up theirtattoos.

Mr McCrindle said the growth of the tattoo-removal

business indicated there would be regrets down the track."I think it's approaching ubiquity and will start to wind

back a little," he said. "We won't see generation after generationnow getting tattoos."

Alonso needs to be 'perfect' to win tit le

Ferrar i and FernandoAlonso are back at the topof the F1 standings.

Fernando Alonso, atop theFormula One drivers' standingsfollowing his win in Korea, said hebelieved he would have to be"perfect" for the season run-in if heis to land a third crown.

"We'll have to keep out feeton the ground," estimated theSpaniard, who has an 11-pointlead over Australian Mark Webber

going into next week's penultimaterace at Interlagos in Brazil.Completing a Brazilian

hat-trick would help set him up forfinishing the job in Abu Dhabiseven days later.

"I am back at the top of thestandings, something whichhadn't happened since Australia. But we know with the pointssystem and the gaps there are(between the title contenders)positions count for little. You onlyneed a race such as the one wehad in Korea for everything to turnaround."

"All the same, it's alwaysbetter to be in front than behind!"

Alonso made the most ofan accident for Webber and thenengine failure for another Red Bullcontender, Sebastian Vettel, atYeongam to steer his way throughto the top of the championship.

The Spaniard, whoseprevious titles came with Renault,is hoping to land a third crown inhis maiden season with the

Prancing Horseand says that being out infront should be a calmingfactor rather than one toput additional pressureon.

"Knowing that theachievement of this goalis in our own hands

means that we are afraction calmer - butdoesn' t in any way

change our approach."We will have to give it

everything. The only difference isthat it will be enough for us tostay ahead of our direct rivalswithout getting too involved inthe maths."

Looking ahead toInterlagos, Alonso noted thatthe "lap is a little short and thetime differences a littlenarrower than normal."

    And he warned that

"the slightest mistake willcount all the more in that therewill only be one or twohundredths of a second in itbetween several cars in frontand behind. So we shall haveto be perfect," he said.

The Ferrari driver alsosuggested that defendingchampion Briton JensonButton of McLaren is out of thechampionship race, as he is42 points behind in thestandings.

"In theory, there arestill five of us in the running forthe title, but clearly Button is ina trickier situation," he said.

"There are not manypoints between us to behonest and we saw how thingsended up three years ago, butthe fact is that are no less thanfour drivers ahead of him andit's hard to imagine none ofthem scoring points."

Button this weekstressed that he would iton

continue to fight for thetitle and not abandon his hopes infavour of supporting team-mateand fellow-Briton 2008 championLewis Hamilton - while Red Bullpairing Webber and GermanSebastian Vettel have also beengiven the green light to carry onbattling for the title.

All this has given Alonsoan edge in being able also todepend on total support fromFerrari team-mate BrazilianFelipe Massa, who will be racingon his home track.
