Our Philosophy

Combs Traditional Academy is a program of choice. The

acquisition of basic skills, primarily through direct

instruction, is viewed as the foundation of the learning

process. Priority is given to the fundamental tools of

learning in the core academic areas of phonics and

reading; grammar; spelling and writing; mathematics;

history and geography; and science. We believe that

students need a structured learning environment that

minimizes instructional distractions in order to provide

them with the strongest opportunity for academic success.

To register for the 2015-2016 school year your student must be 5 years old by August 31.

If your child's 5th birthday is after August 31 we will not be able to enroll your child into Kindergarten. However, early entry testing is available for academically and developmentally advanced children. Please contact Community Education at 480-987-5310 for information.

J.O. Combs Unified School District has a number of options for those children that will not be 5 by August 31. Please see our website for additional information and registration dates.
