GENERALTermsand CONDITIONS

LAFLAMME Doors and Windows will, at its own discretion, repair, replace, or exchangewith a similar product, free of charge, any original part deemed defective within 12 monthsof the original delivery date or will give credit for the value of the defective product or part.Only parts used by LAFLAMME to manufacture its products will be replaced.

At the end of the 12 month warranty period, LAFLAMME Door and Windows' responsibilitywill be limited to supplying new components upon presentation of the defective parts.All installation charges and other related costs will be at the customer's expense.Repaired, replaced, or exchanged parts will be guaranteed for the residual period as perthe terms and conditions of the initial warranty.

LAFLAMME will honour its warranty provided the products covered have been correctlyinstalled and maintained and have been used under normal, non abusive conditions.

This warranty, which came into effect on May 1, 2009 is the sole valid and applicablewarranty. Any mentions of warranty in our brochures or our publicities are for informationpurposes only. No other verbal or written warranty will be considered valid. Productssold previously by LAFLAMME Doors and Windows are covered by the warranty that wasin effect at date of purchase.

LAFLAMME reserves the right to alter products without notice and to replace defectivecomponents with new parts that differ from the originals. In such cases, LAFLAMME makesno commitment whatsoever to modify merchandise already delivered or to manufacture newparts to fulfill the claim.

CLAIM PROCEDUREThis warranty is for the exclusive benefit of the original owner (non-transferable). Anyclaims must be made promptly by the consumer or distributor during the warranty period.The owner must provide a clear, written description of the defect(s) to the distributorfrom whom he purchased the product, or to Customer Service, LAFLAMME Doors andWindows corp., 39 Industrielle, St. Apollinaire, Quebec G0S 2E0. The warranty periodbegins on the merchandise delivery date. Proof of purchase indicating production numbermust be provided on all claims, failing which the warranty is null and void.

This warranty set forth the maximum liability for the products manufactured byLAFLAMME Doors and Windows corp. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion orlimitation or consequential damages or limitation of the duration of the impliedwarranty. As a result, some or all of the above limitations or exclusion may not apply toyou. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, you may also have other rightswhich may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

ComponentsWHITE PVC EXTRUSIONSINTEGRAL COLOR PVC MOULDINGSAND EXTRUSIONSALUMINUM EXTRUSIONSNatural PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and aluminum extrusionsused in the manufacture of all LAFLAMME products(except if they have been nailed or screwed in) are warrantedfor 20 years from date of purchase against manufacturingdefects, peeling, buckling, swelling, cracking, rot, corrosion,and uneven discoloration.

PAINTED PVC EXTRUSIONS– FACTORY APPLIEDPaint finish on PVC extrusions used in the manufacture ofall LAFLAMME products (except if the PVC was nailed orscrewed in) is warranted for 10 years from date of purchaseagainst peeling, fissuring, cracking, and uneven discoloration(more than 5 E Delta units), under normal conditions ofwear. This limited warranty applies to painted PVC extrusionsused in the manufacture of LAFLAMME products and paintedby an authorized subcontractor.

This limited warranty applies solely to the paint andcovers labour costs for 12 months from date of delivery.Subsequent to this period, LAFLAMME will provide theproduct owner a credit equivalent to the amount paid forthe "paint" option at purchase.

WOOD COMPONENTSWood components used in the manufacture of LAFLAMMEproducts are warranted against defects in workmanshipfor 5 years from date of purchase.

GLAZING (SEALED UNITS)LAFLAMME Doors and Windows corp. guarantees to theoriginal property owner only (that is to the owner of theproperty where the components and the products describedabove are primarily installed) clear and R+insulated glassunits for 15 years from the date of purchase. For theStar+ and the R3+ insulated glass units, LAFLAMMEoffers a lifetime limited warranty to the originalproperty owner *.

These warranties are valid for insulated glass units used inthe manufacture of complete products only (patio doorsand windows) and do not apply to insulated glass unitssold separately (not installed in complete products). Thesewarranties are limited to unit seal failure under normalconditions which results in obvious obstruction of visiondue to film formation or dust collection between the innerglass surfaces of the insulated glass units.

In respect to the terms of these warranties, LAFLAMMEshall replace free of charge, subject to the followinglabour cost conditions, the defective insulated glass unit.

For a period of 5 years following the date of purchase,LAFLAMME shall assume the labour cost for the installationof the replacement insulated glass unit covered by the15-year Warranty or the Lifetime Limited Warranty, as thecase may be. Afterwards, the labour cost becomes theoriginal owner’s responsibility.

Sealed units used in the manufacture of LAFLAMME patiodoors and windows are warranted (parts and labour)against spontaneous thermal breakage1 for one year only.

LAFLAMME is not liable for any related costs (shipping,painting, scaffolding, product finishing, repairs, removal,reassembling, installation, reinstallation, etc.)

* The 15-year Warranty and Lifetime Limited Warrantyapplies solely to products mentioned above andbought after April 26th, 2004 and is valid for theoriginal property owner only.

DECORATIVE DOORLITESLAFLAMME steel door decorative doorlites are warrantedfor 10 years (stained glass, hybrid, and silkscreen) or5 years (all other standard doorlite models) from date ofpurchase against defects in workmanship and defectiveseals (does not cover thermal breakage). Terms andconditions mentioned under "Glazing" apply in full withthe exception of labour fees which are covered for a1 year period.

HARDWARETruth operators used in the manufacture of LAFLAMMEproducts are warranted for life by LAFLAMME againstdefects in workmanship. All other hardware is warrantedfor one (1) year. Tandem rollers used in Eterna andDynasty patio door panels are warranted for five (5) years.

STEEL DOORSLAFLAMME Hermetica steel and garden door panels arewarranted for 10 years from date of purchase againstdefects in workmanship. Promo door panels are warrantedfor 5 years. This warranty covers any warping in excessof 1/4" (6 mm), as well as factory-applied white paint(5 year warranty for other color paint finishes).

Steel doors sold with a factory-applied primer coat are notcovered by the "Paint" warranty. This limited warrantyexcludes cases where storm doors have been installed bythe customer.

LAFLAMME's Hermetica door system is warranted for3 years (parts and labour) from date of purchase againstany air or water infiltration (under normal weather condi-tions). Parts and labour needed for the repair or replacementof weatherstripping or door slabs are covered byLAFLAMME for a 1 year period from date of purchase.

OTHER COMPONENTSAll other LAFLAMME door and window components notnamed above (screens2, weatherstripping, balances, jambextensions, removable grilles, or sealed grilles, seal joints,patio door hardware, hinges, etc.) are warranted againstdefects in workmanship for 12 months from date ofpurchase.

ARE NOT COVERED BYTHE LAFLAMMEWARRANTY:• Any alterations or attempted repairs; any components

painted, varnished, or coated with a solvent or anyother product that may alter the PVC, glazing, weather-stripping, or hardware; all work not performed by themanufacturer or an authorized contractor

• Any defect resulting from inadequate sliding patio dooradjustment and any damage resulting from abusivetreatment, negligence, accident, fire, or natural disaster;inappropriate maintenance or handling; improperinstallation (out of square, warped or inwardly/outwardlycurved frame; windows not installed on a verticalplane, etc.). Also excluded are damages caused duringinstallation or following improper installation (e.g.,scratches, punctures, scuffing, etc.) or resulting fromexposure to harmful vapours, chemical products,excessive temperatures, oxidation, extreme climaticconditions, poor ventilation, excess humidity, and anyother circumstances beyond LAFLAMME’s control

• Any color variations in wood

• Water leakage not caused by a product defect

• Uneven fading of color caused by unequal exposureof surfaces to sunlight, a heating element, gradualdiscoloration, chalking, or the accumulation of surfacestains and dirt

• Rotting of any component used in the manufacture ofour doors and windows after a period of one year.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCEOur products must be properly installed in buildingsfor residential use only according to applicable standards,failing which the warranty shall be null and void.

PVC windows will withstand the elements for many years.However, they require regular cleaning with a special PVCcleaner.

In the event wooden components in doors and woodenwindows are not regularly maintained and are not protectedwith paint or stain within 30 days of the date of deliveryto protect them against water and moisture, this warrantyshall be deemed null and void.

This warranty does not cover the failure of real jointsor wooden parts resulting from exposure to excessivemoisture or condensation.

Moving hardware parts must be lubricated at least oncea year.

For all our products, it is the owner's responsibility tocheck and maintain seal joints in order to prevent rottingcaused by moisture infiltration.

For these warranties to apply, the owner must periodicallysee to the upkeep of the products, apply exterior paint orstain to the wood, check seal joints (and apply new oneswhere necessary), lubricate hardware (moving parts), andclean weatherstripping.

GENERAL RESTRICTIONSIn no case shall the liability of LAFLAMME Doors andWindows exceed the original value of the productdeemed defective by LAFLAMME. Under no circumstancesshall LAFLAMME Doors and Windows be held responsibleor liable for any direct or indirect damages, including, butnot limited to, loss of profits or income due to anydefect(s) in products covered by this warranty, to the useof such products by the owner or any other party, or toany delay in warranty fulfillment due to circumstancesbeyond the control of LAFLAMME Doors and Windows.

LAFLAMME is not liable for any related costs (shipping,painting, scaffolding, product finishing, repairs, removal,reassembling, installation, reinstallation, etc.).
