Find TsillyWho’s Tsilly? He’s the elusive Lake Chelan “mon-ster” and he’s visiting lots of different local busi-nesses throughout the Lake Chelan community this Winterfest. Those who spot him can win prizes, including buttons and enter to win a grand-prize weekend of fun in Lake Chelan. Find Tsilly is a great Winterfest vacation activity and a wonderful way for guests and residents to support local busi-ness.
Anyone who wishes to participate can pick up a “Find Tsilly” passport with the names of all the participating sites, and get their passport stamped or signed for each Tsilly they spot. There is no charge to participate, and the hunt starts Janu-ary 16th and lasts through January 25th. The first 500 Tsilly seekers to get their passports stamped or signed at fifteen or more sites can bring their passports back to Riverwalk Books to collect prizes. Collecting store stamps or signatures at twenty or more businesses will entitle diligent seekers to enter in a grand prize drawing on Janu-ary 31, 2015.
Grand Prize: 2-Night Stay at Darnell’s Lake Resort, 4 Passes to Slidewaters Water Park, and a $50 Gift Certificate to Lakeview Drive-In. For more information about hunting for Tsilly, call Riverwalk Books at 509-682-8901.

KlapadoowopellaKlapaDooWopella is one of the world’s oldest ongoing musical ensembles devoted exclusively to singing a cappella. KlapaDooWopella specializes in traditional Croatian “Klapa” singing. Klapa sing-ers are a cappella minstrels that hang out on boat docks and street corners along the Adriatic coast of Croatia. The passionate harmonic blend of tra-ditional Klapa songs evokes uncaught fish, rag-ing seas, and lost love. Despite forays into other genres, the quartet always returns to its first love, the moan of the sea that is the primal chord of the Klapa song.
Enjoy the strolling a cappela group throughout downtown Chelan on Friday & Saturday, January 16-17 from noon to 4pm each day.
SoupfestOn Friday, January 16, local restaurants serve up their best soup, and you get to vote on your favor-ite--the winner receives bragging rights for the rest of the year. This event is free and open to the pub-lic. From 6pm to 8pm downtown Chelan on Woo-
din Avenue. Grab your voting tickets and tastes and listen to the live music on the Main Stage. Taste warming soups from:
