Football-Mouth Piece, Soft Spikes or Tennis Shoes
Basketball-Tennis Shoes
*Please make sure these are used in practice and games**Officials will not allow child to play without these*

Practices
Starting date –week of November 11 1 hour per week, 1 day per week NO PRACTICES November 25-November 29, December 23-January 3 All football practices will be held on Y Fields All PK4-2nd grade basketball practices will be held at the Y All 3rd -10th grade basketball practices will be held at Labay Middle School Sports supervisors – on site at every practice and game Trash/food, kids unsupervised Practices rain-outs, I will try to provide a make-up day depending on

Games
Games are Saturdays beginning at 8:00.
Locations – Same as practice location
7 games (November 23rd-January 25) No games November 30, December 28, January 4
Facility Use Policies
Please have the whole team help in cleaning up after practices and games.
No tobacco products in buildings or on Y grounds
All children (siblings of players) must stay on
the fields and gym areas or be attended to if exiting the gym and field.
Please make sure parents make you aware if they are bringing children to another practice (they may have to step away)
Scheduling/Parking
Game schedules will be available on www.quickscores.com/langhamcreekymca by Monday, November 18.
Parking at the Y may be difficult, we have parking behind the skate park that lead to fields
I will make you aware ahead of time if there is a special event, where other parking may be available
Officials
• All are trained & certified• Any serious problems, coach should address
with official in appropriate manner (not a parent), then call YMCA if necessary
• Please be courteous• Harassment of officials will not be
tolerated
Emergency Procedures
Coach contacts Parent or Guardian Immediately Make sure you can contact all parents- have correct
contact numbers Please ask you parents to not drop their child off at
practice/game (some parents have multiple children in multiple sports so please make sure you are aware if they are stepping away to bring their other child to their practice)
Child Abuse Prevention
We make an active effort to prevent child abuse. These efforts include but are not limited to: Background check on staff and volunteers Allegations and suspicions are taken seriously and are
reported to the proper authorities
The YMCA has a no tolerance position on child abuseIf you suspect child abuse you can report it to any
Director in the YMCA or call CPS (Child Protection Service)
Appropriate Touch/Character Development
Kids need touches of encouragement, but there are appropriate and inappropriate ways of touching a child
Incorporate into practices, games our 5 Core Values
(Respect, Honesty, Caring, Responsibility, Faith)
Pictures/Trophies
Pictures will be taken by N the Zone Photography on December 7 at game location
Each participant will receive a trophy at the conclusion of the season. Trophies will be given to coaches by game officials.
Roster Corrections
We may go through many drafts of team rosters before they are finalized.
Your roster is final unless otherwise instructed.
When a roster is updated, an email to the coach will be sent by 4:00pm
