All students take 2 types of courses: a “listening/ speaking” and a reading/writing” course.

These courses meet from 8:15 a.m. until approximately 12:45 p.m. each day, Monday through Friday.

The topics of these courses are related to aspects of U.S. culture and/or business, as seen in the list of classes shown below:*

• Business writing and presentations

• Storytelling and writing

• Theater, games and skits (drama)

• Music

• News

• Literature

• Film production

*Students must take an English placement exam when they arrive in

Delaware. Students who test into Levels 1 to 3

(i.e., beginner to low-intermediate levels) may only take General English

courses. Students who test into Levels 4 to 6 may take courses in U.S.

culture or business English.

Students also participate in a fun-filled schedule of activities and excursions.

We take advantage of Delaware’s convenient location to take trips to places like:

• New York City

• Washington, D.C.

• Philadelphia

• Delaware beaches

There are also many other local activities that students do while in Delaware, such as:

• Hikes

• Picnics

• Pool parties

• Visits to local attractions
