Understanding its purpose. Our Volunteer management program will ensure
that volunteers are working in an organized, struc-
tured environment; polices and procedures outline
the volunteer’s rights as well as responsibilities,
and how they will be supported when an incident
occurs; position descriptions interviews and super-
vision of the volunteer is placed in a position that
is best suited to her/his abilities and interests; by
doing a risk assessment we take into consideration
the personal safety of all involved. The risk assess-
ment ensures that we are not placing a volunteer in
a dangerous location (i.e. unsafe equipment or
working alone at night) or placing an inexperi-
enced volunteer alone. (more reflections will be
posted to help us in this process).
Stations of the Cross During Lent, we invite the parishioners to
join us in praying the STATIONS OF THE
CROSS every Friday after 8am mass in
both English and Italian and also at
7:30pm in English and Spanish.
Reflecting on our Pastoral Plan How do we achieve the mission of the Pastoral
Plan? Celebrate our cultural diversity. The Arch-
diocese of Toronto is one of the most culturally
diverse dioceses in the world, with Mass celebrat-
ed in more than 30 languages each week. This
diversity is one of our greatest gifts and will be
nurtured lovingly and responsibly. Parishes with a
cultural history serve as a spiritual home and a
gathering of family members who share a common
culture, language and tradition. We must draw on
the richness of this diversity while challenging one
another to consider how we can best connect with
the body of Christ beyond our parish boundaries.
We will work to maintain a deep connection to the
local church, while encouraging our culturally
diverse parishes to share their successful models
of collaboration, worship and outreach with
friends across the Archdiocese. To learn more

Reconciliation Tree
The call to conversion makes perfect
sense when we embrace it with con-
crete actions. We can pray, fast and
take care of the poor but these are
essentially easy tasks to perform.
The real work of conversion happens
when we take steps towards recon-
ciliation with those who we have not forgiven or
we have not asked to forgive us. As a parish com-
munity we are invited to seek new ways of recon-
ciliation. Every time you reconcile with someone
encourage others by attaching a ribbon onto the
tree by the Cross standing in the sanctuary area, in
front of the Blessed Sacrament. Would it not be a
great sign for us to see this tree covered complete-
ly in white by the end of these forty days? Encour-
age your children to be proud when they learn
what forgiveness can do in their lives. We can
begin by giving them an example of how to do it.
ShareLife You don’t have to look far to see
the wonders being worked by
Share life…. in the pews of your
parish, in the homes on your street,
in your neighbourhood. ShareLife
agencies provide competent, faith-informed
care to those who turn to them for help re-
gardless of their beliefs or background. Last
year, ShareLife agencies provided over
354,000 services to over 96,000 people and
assisted countless others in developing coun-
tries around the world. In 42 municipalities,
in 225 parishes, and in more than 20 lan-
guages, those in need received compassionate
care and respect they rightly deserve. In addi-
tion, countless others were assisted through
outreach programs around the world.
“To love God and neighbour is not some-
thing abstract, but profoundly concrete: it
means seeing in every person the face of the
Lord to be served, to serve him concrete-
ly." Pope Francis

Questions for Reflection: From the Gospel:
The voice in the ―bright cloud‖
said, ―This is my beloved Son, with
whom I am well pleased; listen to
him.‖
Can you relate to Peter, James
and John when they fall to the
ground and are very much
afraid?
WE ARE CHANGED. God approaches each of us and we are changed. Abram responds
with new purpose. He leaves his home, his family and everything to follow where the
Lord leads him. Peter, James, and John get a glimpse of the Lord Jesus as divine. This
glimmer becomes a foretaste of the resurrection. Jesus calls us to stand up and not be
afraid so we can take part in the good news. We can go forward with Jesus as he over-
comes death and shares with his followers divine life and immortality. Easter is all of
that— can we, can you, follow him?

Pre-Authorized Giving What is the Pre-Authorized Giving Plan?
The Archdiocese of Toronto has established
a Pre-Authorized Giving plan to assist you
in your support of the work of our parish
and of the Archdiocese. The work of our

Giving, to assist you in your giving. Pre
Authorized Giving may be a good choice
for you . . . Pre-Authorized Giving creates a
win/win situation for you and our parish.
It’s a very simple procedure: Your offering
will be withdrawn from your account on or
about the 20th of the month. This amount
will then be deposited to the parish’s ac-
count. How Do I Enroll? Fill out the
PAG form which you can pick up at the
entrance of the Church or in the parish
office. You can also request it via email
([email protected]) and then,
deposit the form in a sealed envelope in
the collection basket on Sundays or in
person to the Parish office: attn: Maria
