Coffee Sunday Next
Weekend: Parishioners are
encouraged to take 20 minutes
after Mass to meet each other in
the hall. Though it might seem
unnecessary to some, it is a great way to build
community which is born of our hospitality. Those
who prepare Coffee Sunday appreciate the effort of
parishioners who attend. Please consider participating.
Reconciliation Presentation of
Candidates: The presentation of
our Reconciliation Candidates will
take place next weekend following the
homily at each of the Masses in our
Family. Candidates are asked to sign-in at the
entrance of the church, so that their names may be
announced inviting them forward for the presentation
to the community.

Introducing the Leadership Team of the LaSalle River Canard Catholic Family of

The Office Team: Ruth Cushing, Marie Durocher and Kim Meloche.
The Parish Pastoral Council: The Pastoral Team, along with William Chauvin, Suzanne Steiner, Anita Bertelle, Kris Dupuis, Dawn Hadre and Fay Ranjit. The recording secretary is Ruth Cushing.
The Finance Committee: Patrick Curtis, Lisa Jones, Chris Marrocco, Gisele Meloche, Carmen Simone, John Hodgins, Domenico Aversa, Fabio Tedesco, Jo-Anne Bas & Lynn Charlton
The Buildings and Grounds Chair Persons: Dan Sutton, Tony Magri and Carmen Simone, working along with our caretakers: Jeff Moore, Kirk Bertelle and Gerry Semande.
We are in transition and recognize the difficulty that change often causes for all of us. We have been strong, independent communities, accustomed to doing things ‘our way’. Now that we are a Family of Parishes, we can no longer operate as silos. We must work toward unity, while respecting the individual ways in which we live outside of the celebration of Eucharist.
In order to secure our future as individual parishes, we must work together to build a strong Family that will be concerned with each other. We are challenged by the Gospel to spread the Good News and to be witnesses of Jesus’ love.
All Souls Mass: An All Souls Mass
for our Family of Parishes will be celebrated at St. Paul Parish on Tuesday, November 5th at 6:30pm. Parishioners who have family members who have
passed away between November 2018 and October 2019 are specially invited to attend this special Mass honouring their deceased loved ones.
Remembrance Month: November is the traditional month when we remember our beloved deceased. We ask that you participate in your parish’s special way of remembering your loved ones.
Parish Pastoral Council Meeting: Our regularly scheduled monthly meeting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7th at 6:30pm at Sacred Heart Church.
Un rappel que la réunion régulière du Conseil Paroissial aura lieu le jeudi 7 novembre à 18h30, à la paroisse Sacred Heart.
Pastor’s Health Leave: The Pastor will be on health leave following knee replacement surgery. As many of you know from personal experience, a period of rest and physiotherapy will be necessary following the operation. During his absence, Father Ray will take the lead role and will be primarily assisted by Father Larry Brunet.
Thank you to all who planned and participated in the Trunk or Treat and Pumpkin Carving Halloween activities. A great time was had by all. Stay tuned for upcoming fall and winter activities for families and youth !
Sunday Offertory: A reminder that all offertory envelopes and pre-authorized debit donations will remain with your home parish. Loose donations stay in the church where they are given. If you are interested in Pre-Authorized Debit, please contact the parish office or pick up a registration form at the entrance of the church.

new Family of Parishes website is still under
construction. We are working on having
internet traffic to our 3 parishes directed to the
new site and hope to have it available very soon. We
appreciate your patience.
Vocation Corner: “Dear brothers and sisters, in the finest traditions of the Church in this country, may you also be the first friend of the poor, the homeless, the stranger, the sick and all who suffer.
Act as beacons of hope, casting the light of Christ upon the world, and encouraging young people to discover the beauty of a life given completely to the Lord and his Church.”
- Pope Benedict, XVI , Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 2008
