Dear Friends,

“Success” has been defined by many people but one thing is always common that it had taken blood, sweat, time, focus & importantly patience. Patience is the key that sails us through to the crest and trough of our journey. The consistency in our efforts and the attitude to give best of ourselves to the task in hand blended with patience lead us to greater heights. The 2nd quarter of this fiscal year has been full of many such instances where we saw that consistency in efforts with patience brought success even with limited resources. Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), an ambitious program of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is the great success of our Nation. ISRO, in its maiden attempt, got success to reach on Mars, which is in itself an achievement.

Similar changes have been shown by the Indian Economy. The continuous reforms introduced by the government, efforts done by industries and the favourable global scenario have shown positive signs of recovery & improvement. The decreasing Inflation Rate, increased Foreign Investments, favourable Economy Sentiments & Ratings, reduced price of Gold & Crude Oil globally have fortifid the stability of Indian Economy.

In this whole scenario, the Indian Auto Industry is also hoping for the improved market performance with rising sales. Reduced price of Crude Oil & Improving Customer Sentiments are being crucial factors to sail the auto industry through the downfall. The overall Indian Automotive Industry has shown an YoY positive growth in Q2 FY’2014-15 at the rate of 18% whereas Passenger Vehicle segment grew at the rate of 5%, Commercial Vehicle segment grew at 3% and Two

Wheeler segment grew at 20% growth rate. In this backdrop, DK Jain group has registered an YoY growth rate of 14% and our flagship company, Lumax Industries Ltd has registered an YoY growth rate of 10%. The exuberant performance of the market has raised hopes of recovery and growth.

Moving ahead with, I am very proud to share that Lumax Industries Ltd., Chakan & Lumax DK Auto Industries Ltd., Pantnagar have been awarded with ACMA Awards Silver Trophy in “Technology” & “Manufacturing Excellence” in recently held 54th Annual Session & National Conference of ACMA. My heartiest congratulations to the teams working consistently behind these success. Friends, it is essential to keep momentum with the changing world. Not only upgrading the plants & technologies are important, but also our attitude towards work must be improved and accelerated to attain success. Every time when we grow, we must acquire the capability to bear more responsibilities.

Keeping this on focus, the senior management team is working consistently on the different dimensions of Vision 2020. The members are drafting strategies in the way where accord can be set among all the functions of the group and combined efforts can maximize the benefits.

Friends, in previous years the Indian economy has been going through a rough patch that hugely affected the performance of Indian Auto Industry, but recent improved sales, favourable market sentiments and global scenario have shown us sign of recovery.
