How does it work? Simply put, theLawson Companion Take-Off releases thestock from the gripper, depositing thestock on the receiving conveyor — with minimal paper-hang. The Lawson Frontier Jet Dryer isengineered for heavy-duty, constant production. Its ruggedconstruction and advanceddesign make it exceptionally

versatile and able to withstand the mostrelentless use.

The Frontier is available either as an all-electric or gas-fired, high-velocity jetdryer. It will handle sheet and board stocksuch as vinyl, mylar, tissue, paper, cardboard, plastic, wood, fiberboard andmore. Lawson’s exclusive Uni-Flo/Air-Knife jet chamber ensures efficient,rapid and thorough drying of almost anykind of ink.

Lawson’s Uni-Flo/Air-Knife heat chambercreates an evenly distributed, continuousair-impinged, high-velocity jet-air action.The substrate is constantly subjected topowerful jet streams that penetrate thesolvent/ink barrier, drying most inks in seconds. The Uni-Flo jet chamber minimizes stock shrinkage and commonink rewetting, which results in better registration, fewer rejects and higherprofits.

The Frontier also incorporates Lawson’sunique Uni-Vac system... an exclusive vacuum hold-down that prevents stockflutter and unwanted stock movement. Bycreating a powerful and evenly distributedvacuum draw, Lawson’s Uni-Vac alsoassists in the efficient elimination ofunwanted solvent-laden air. It also allowsfor adjustable jet recirculation andexhaust to suit the job load.

The Lawson Frontier Jet Dryer incorporates many other exclusive andunique features besides the Uni-Flo andUni-Vac designs. For example, the Frontieruses an open-mesh, Teflon-coated fiberglass memory belt in conjunction withmachine crowned pulleys and a four-pointtracking system for consistent belt alignment. The belt speed is infinitely variable from 0-40 FPM by a rugged,direct-drive D.C. motor and solid-state,digital controller.

Belt supports increase belt life, eliminatebelt sag and stabilize substrate movement. Both the jet-heat and jet-cool sections are fully insulated with fiberglass

high–temperature insulation and protected by a durable metal cover. Air filters conveniently slide out for easycleaning. Ample entrance and exit stock clearance is provided. Temperature control is consistently maintained by asolid-state digital controller. Gas-fired dryers are adjustable up to 375°F, electricunits are adjustable up to 225°F. Further,the entire Frontier is protected from abuseby a special fail-safe interlock safety control system.

In short, the Lawson Frontier is designedfor the professional screener whodemands high production, convenientoperator use and little or no maintenance.
