DECODE GLOBAL (2013) specializes in mobile games for social impact. It develops games for the North American and Indian markets. Its first game Get Water! was launched this spring and won the United Nations UNAOC competition. HEARING EXPRESS (2012) delivers affordable, high-quality hearing aids in developing countries. By using rapid-fitting hearing aids, mobile diagnostics, and an entrepreneurial distribution system, it is a sustainable and scalable way of addressing hearing loss on a global scale. Launched by the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM), the Social Economy Initiative (SEI) is an important vehicle through which McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management integrates social entrepreneurship and social innovation into its teaching, research and outreach activities.
