With our ull-time MBA programme ranked number one in the world by the FinancialTimes, 2010 has been a great year or London Business School and I am delightedto share with you the MBA Employment Report 2010. 91% o our MBA2010graduates ound employment within 3 months o graduating, a ten percentagepoint increase on the MBA2009 class. This highlights the increasing demand orour graduates across the globe. Its a great achievement considering the signicantimpact that the global recession has had on the recruitment market in the pastcouple o years and a testament to our graduates, recruiters, alumni and the CareerServices team as 80% ound their roles through the School community.
43% o the MBA 2010 graduates will be working outside the United Kingdom, refecting their diversity. Career Services relationships with recruiters worldwidehave been strengthened through our business development activity, new careersevents including the rst Middle East Careers Week and Finance and ConsultingNetworking Evening - and regional treks to locations including New York, Dublin,Paris, Switzerland and Shanghai. These not only encourage ace-to-ace interactionbetween recruiters and students but also allow us to reconnect with alumni.
Financial Services remains the most popular career choice or students with 38% ograduates nding jobs in that sector, closely ollowed by 37% in Industry and 25%in Consulting. As technology and social media play an ever-increasing role in ourlives, the interest in working in such areas has also grown. 6% o our graduates haveound roles in technology/telecommunications - now the most popular sector withinIndustry.
We are grateul to the recruiters that continue to engage with London BusinessSchool and value these relationships. We will build on the success and urtherincrease our international networks with employers across all sectors in the uture.
Kind regards
