We are delighted to congratulate students from China on their academic achievements in the June 2016 Cambridge examination series. The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards recognise the exceptional performance of

students around the world in Cambridge examinations. The awards reflect the talent and hard work of learners, and acknowledge the dedication and commitment of both teachers and parents.

It is extremely encouraging to see the growth in popularity of Cambridge examinations in China, with learners achieving outstanding results across all award categories.

I am delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of 54 students from 28 schools from different provinces who obtained the highest marks in the world, a really outstanding performance. I would also like to congratulate 50 students who received the ‘Top in China’ award, a much deserved recognition for their very hard work. All these awards demonstrate the high standard of education in our schools.

Every time a student performs well in their Cambridge examinations, they open up a world of opportunities. We are proud of every Cambridge learner represented in these awards for their commitment and hard work. We are always interested to hear from students about their experiences with Cambridge. Our programmes and qualifications are carefully designed to engage students and give them solid foundations to achieve high levels of academic and personal attainment. We are pleased to acknowledge the success of all students who passed Cambridge examinations during the 2016 examination series. It gives us great pleasure to recognise the exceptional performance of learners who have been awarded the highest marks in a subject.

Our awards recognise outstanding performance in China, apart from our ‘Top in the World’ award which acknowledges exceptional performance globally.

We congratulate learners who have been recognised for ‘High Achievement’ based on outstanding performance in subjects which are not so widely taken in China. Our ‘Best Across’ winners are recognised for achieving the highest cumulative total marks over a set number of subjects.

We use strict criteria to calculate Cambridge awards. These criteria ensure that the achievements we recognise are consistent across the world in all subjects and at all qualification levels.

Learners receive awards if they have attained the highest marks in a subject, providing that they have achieved the minimum grade and standard mark for that award category.
