IntroductionThe Mid-State Teacher Center, in conjunction with GROW Educational Consultants, provided educators the opportunity to learn from experienced educational consultants, government records managers and historical societies, with a grant awarded by the New York State Archives entitled Local Government and Records Management Improvement Fund.
The major outcome of this grant program was the successful incorporation of local governments records into classroom instruction and assessment in preparation for the social studies and English language arts curriculum and testing.
