President’s Message Let it snow! It’s time to start sending your snow
requests to Khione and Ullr. Khione, in Greek
mythology, is indeed the goddess of the snow. A
delightful deity, she sits in the heavens sprinkling the
sparkling flakes over the earth. Ullr, god of winter
and snow in Norse mythology, loves the cold as well
as traversing the country on his skis. He delights in
the chase through the forest. Glades, anyone?
Trips are being finalized so please check in with
Heidi, Deb and Paul with questions and concerns. At
this writing, there may still be available space for a
couple more participants. Our trip leaders will be
presenting at the December meeting so please
come prepared with your payments.
Join us at our annual Christmas dinner Tuesday,
December 8th for fellowship, food, and fun! The
family style meal is the club’s gift to you, as well as
an array of door prizes. Meeting time is 7:00 p.m.
It’s always a great pleasure to meet and mingle with
fellow members, and now is the time to start thinking
about planning an impromptu trip or two to our
local slopes. We will have more information about
available lift tickets in mid-December. Watch your
email or tune into our Facebook page or website for
more information.
From the entire Board of your Lebanon
Ski Club, Merry Christmas to All, and God
Bless!
