■ reducing downtimes■ reducing maintainance■ getting longer toolife■ longer cycletimes between resharpening■ in total: getting cost‘s down

■ Searching the problems and first action is:■ using better material for punches■ using better material for dies■ coating punches ■ and dies

What will be done for this

Page 4: Lebensdauer Normalien2003 Gb

F IB R O –

■ why is it done like this■ everyone can see here is something to do■ but is this all■ no■ there are more important factors as■ the press itself■ the guiding systems

Page 5: Lebensdauer Normalien2003 Gb

the press itselfgives unequalsideforces to the tool

Forces comming from the press ram are high and unequal, who knows the datas from the parallissm of the press ram to the press table? Theses things are not taken under consideration because most times unknown!

Press forces occurereduction of tool life

Who knows the existing situation of the press guides?Maintainance or responsible people say they know but if you ask for real datasthey can not be found. And even if they have they can not do anything against it.

but the main and most important factor is

the guide element

Page 8: Lebensdauer Normalien2003 Gb

F IB R O –

All forces are going to the guidelement

no matter they are occured from the press or from the cutting or bending forces from the tool

the guide element is responsible to hold the position

between punch and die during cutting or bending process

Sintered Guide Bushes with carbonitriededsurface. A porous material with 18-20%of pours, highes security against dryrunning and seizing.

Ball Bearing Busings, Brass Ball Cages, highest quantity of balls compared with

all competitors. Roller Cages, highest quantity of rollers

compared with all competitors.

Steel Bushes, running surfaceBronce coated.

Bronce Bushings with embedded solid lubricant.

F IB R O – Pairing Classification

The guide pillars, the sintered sliding guides and the guide bushings for balland roller cages are within the allowed production tolerance signed with colour. This allows to choose respecitve to the

demand a smaller or wider tolerance.
