Sydney Harbor and Bridge

The bridge goes across the SydneyHarbor that links the Sydney CentralBusiness District (CBS) and the NorthShore.

The bridge is nicknamed “The

Coathanger” because of it archeddesign.

Sydney Bridge was designed andbuilt in 1932 by Dorman Long and CoLtd.

It is the fifth longest spanning-archbridge in the world.

The Sydney Opera House has thebest view of the beauty of the bridge.

On New Years Eve in the harbor theyhold yacht races and on the water and have a show of fireworks.

Sydney Opera House

The opera house was built by

Jorn Utzon. A Danish architect.

When he died the building wasn’t

even finished. They tried to

decide if they want to demolish itor work on it.

The building still stands next to

the Sydney Bridge.

Sydney Opera House has the

best view of the bridge.

becoming more popular. Fruit, meat, vegetable, and

fish markets are similar to theones in Europe.

Most stores close at 5 or 

5:30pm on week days.  Australians try to keep up on

the newest trends on clothing.
