Vladimir Ilich Ulyanov (Lenin) was born on 10 th off April1870
in Simbrisk and died on 21 st of January 1924 in Gorkibecause of a
stroke. Lenin was his political name. He wasinfluenced by Nikolai
Cheryshevsky. He studied law for a fewyears before being kicked out
because of his ideas. He wasexiled to Siberia there he visited
secret meetings byrevolutionaries. He then traveled across Europe
to visitrevolutionarys .After that he wrote a book called what is
tobe done? This argued that a group of professionalrevolutionaries
could overthrow the Tsarist government. Hebecame the leader of the
Bolsheviks when the Octoberrevolution in 1917 overthrew the current
Russiangovernment changing their name to the communist partyand
installed Lenin as head of state of the Soviet Union. Hisfirst
decrees were to abolish private land ownership anddistribute among
the peasants. Also he nationalized banksand gave factory workers
the power to control their
production. Many people did not like this communism
andanti-Bolsheviks and then created the White army .ManyEuropean
nations supported the White army and suppliedthe army. This allowed
Lenin to call them anti-Russian.During this time Lenin used war
communism this stated thatthe government could take any food from
the peasants withlittle or no payment. After the war he replaced
warcommunism with New Economy Policy (NEP) which statedthat the
farmers had to give the government a quota of theircrop and they
could sell the rest privately .This encouragedthe farmers to grow
excesses crop .This policy improvedagricultural output and spread
food to the peasants. Leninalso implied that this policy would
morph into somethingbigger later. Lenin sadly had a stroke and
died. LeavingStalin in charge of the Soviet Union.

Muhammad was born in 570 and died in 632 A.D. Hewas orphaned and
his uncle took care of him. His familywhich used to be rich was
coming on hard times. He became
a merchant and at 25 he married a wealthy widow. Hereceived his
first revelation of god at 40 and began teachingothers at Mecca his
revelations. The Mecca then kicked himand his followers out. He
then left for Medina with hisfollowers. He and his followers
conquered Medina and thetribes around it by diplomacy and force.
Whenever heconquered he converted the populations to Islam. Islam
wasin two groups the Sunni Muslims followed the five
pillars(Shahadan, Salah, Zahat, Sawm, and Haji). The ShiaMuslums
followed rituals that on multiple occasions overlapthe five
pillars. He then gathered a force of followers andconquered Mecca.
After conquering all of the ArabianPeninsula he traveled to Medina
and died. Islam is now thebiggest religion. The Islamic would
eventually cover 10million square miles and invented quite a few
inventions thatimpacted the world today.
