In order to escape the blockade, Soviets had to run through lake Ladoga, the only possible supply route. The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history. Conditions of Victory 9 medals. 1 temporary medal for the Soviets for the Hills with Forests hex. 2 temporary medals for the Germans in Leningrad. 1 temporary medal for both sides for the entrance to Lake Ladoga. Special Rules Nations: the Red Army (RKKA - Nations 2) rules are NOT in effect. Troops: Specialized Units (Troops 2) and Combat Engineers (Troops 4) are in effect for Soviet infantry units with the corresponding badges. Snipers (Troops 10) are in effect in both sides. Terrains: Factory Complex (Terrain 21), Field Bunkers (Terrain 22), City Ruins (Terrain 45), The rivers and the banks of the lake, represented by rivers, are Frozen Rivers hexes (Terrain 47). The German artillery at the center of the map is placed on Hills with Forests (Terrain 48). The Trenches (Terrain 51) rules are in effect. Rice Paddies (Terrain 60) represent frozen marshes.
