FRIDAY 26 JULY 2019 | TERM 3 | WEEK 1

Principal’s Message I hope you all had a fantastic school holiday break with your families and friends. We were certainly blessed with excellent weather over the holiday period. I would like to welcome everyone back, plus a special welcome to our 12 new students who have enrolled at our great school. We hope you have had a brilliant first week. This term has lots of events happening so keep an eye on the calendar on the front of each newsletter and the website for all upcoming events. Unfortunately the weather was not super kind to us yesterday for our Athletics Carnival but thank you to everyone for their organisation and to the students for continuing to persevere in the rain. As it did start to get very slippery our 100m final races and 800 and 1500m races were going to be run this afternoon (Friday). All results and the Athletics Champions will be announced in the coming week. As you are aware the semester one school reports were sent home at the end of last term. If teachers wanted to see you for an interview this was indicated on the front of the report. If this was not indicated but you would still like to discuss your child’s progress then it is absolutely fine to make an appointment. As per usual the interviews are booked online. You will need to follow the below steps to make a time. The interview times will close 2 days prior to the event to ensure that teachers have time to prepare. Interview Day Wednesday 7 August between 3:40pm and 6pm in the school hall. You will need to go to the following website www.schoolinterviews.com.au

- Click on the make a booking tab - Enter this code – xfs97 - Enter the details required - Choose the correct teacher from the drop down

menu. - Click on a time slot to book your time

Please note Miss Smith will be doing the 2N interviews as Mrs Nolland is still on leave. If you have any problems with the online booking process, please come and see us in the office. School Photos Our school photos have arrived and will be distributed next week. Kind Regards. Deb Langfield Principal Library News Book Fair Our annual Book Fair will begin next Friday and run through to Wednesday 7 August. Visiting Author Late last term we were fortunate to have author Tristan Bancks at our school for a presentation. Students in Years 3-6 thoroughly enjoyed learning about his new book that has recently been published, titled
