Marvin Olnes Sr. Marvin Olnes Sr., 90 of Al- bion, NE died Sunday, Febru- ary 8, 2015 at the Wolf Me- morial Good Samaritan Center in Al- bion after suf- fering a stroke on Thursday, February 5th. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, with Rev. David Frerichs officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Ceme- tery in Albion with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #162 and VFW Post #736 of Albion, NE. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Levander Fu- neral Home in Albion, NE. Marvin was born January 27, 1925, to John and Alma (Thorberg) Olnes on the fam- ily farm east of Petersburg. He attended Boone County Dis- trict #62. He farmed from the age of 14 to 20 before enlisting in the Navy. Following his service, Marvin returned to farm in the South Branch area. He married Betty Carver on June 3, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He and Betty farmed and raised their seven children in the South Branch area. In 1968, the fam- ily moved to a farm located a mile south of Albion. Marvin and Betty lived there until they retired and moved to 5th Street in Albion in 1986. In 2008, they moved to the Cot- tages apartments in Albion. Marvin farmed his entire life and had a great love for the land. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at South Branch until moving to Albion where he was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. He had served as a member of Boone County Dis- trict #57 School Board, the Wolf Memorial Good Samari- tan Center Advisory Board and the Albion Senior Center Board. Marvin was a HAM Radio Operator and a member of the Albion Amateur Radio Club. He also enjoyed attend- ing athletic events and volun- teering at the Senior Center. He is survived by his seven children: Marvin (Marcia) Olnes of Yankton, SD; Sally (Clyde) Carlson of Polk; Jim (Becky) Olnes of Albion; Rick Olnes of Albion, Ken Olnes of Albion, Kathy (Bill) Wright of Lincoln; and Paul (Kathleen) Olnes of Omaha. He was grandfather to eight: Marvin (Lisa) Olnes of Yankton, SD; Mary (Klint) Holscher of Cheyenne, WY; Andrew (Julie) Carlson of Battle Creek, NE; Curtis (Lisa) Carlson of Wahoo, NE; Jason (Amy) Olnes of Albion, Shawn (Amber) Olnes of Albion; Tyler Olnes of Petersburg, NE; Andrew Jon Olnes of Omaha. He had ten great-grandchil- dren. Two brothers Ardell Olnes of Albion, NE and John Olnes of Anchorage, AK, and a sister-in-law, Lavonne (Lowell) Olnes of Petersburg, also sur- vive Marvin. He was preceded in death by wife Betty in 2010; parents John and Alma Olnes, father and mother-in-law Robert and Mildred Carver; brother Low- ell Olnes and sister Janis Coul- ter. Dvoracek, 86, of Tyndall, South Dakota will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednes- day, February 11, 2015 at the Presbyterian Church in Tyn- dall. Burial will follow in the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Tyndall. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, Feb- ruary 10 from 3:00 p.m. until a 7:00 p.m. prayer service there, family will be present from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Leonard passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society of Tyndall. Dvoracek was born on December 24, 1928 at his family farm near Tabor, SD to Charlie and Tillie (Jilek) Dvoracek. He moved off the family farm at the age of 14, where he worked at the bowling alley and attended Tyndall High School where he was crowned homecom- ing king and was a captain of his beloved football team. Leonard married Dorothy “Belle” Starr on November 9, 1949 in Luverne, MN. Leonard was a dedicated hard worker and was em- ployed on the construction of the Yankton Dam and Highway 50, and many other construction sites and gravel pits. He finally found his way to his true passion, farming. Leonard had two important loves in his life: his family and his farm. He was a loving and giving father and grand- father who cared deeply and openly for his family. In Leonard’s eyes, his grand- children could do no wrong. He was a born teacher, instill- ing life lessons by helping others understand the busi- ness of farming, helping his grandkids learn to drive, and teaching generations of fam- ily members how to play cards. He had an infectious laugh and a witty sense of humor which made him a fa- vorite among anyone that met him. Leonard enjoyed many hobbies including play- ing pinochle, watching sports, playing black jack at casinos, and telling stories of his unforgettable life. He was a member of the United Pres- byterian Church in Tyndall, SD. He died on Saturday Feb- ruary 7, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Home in Tyndall, SD at the age of 86 sur- rounded by his loved ones. Leonard’s memory will be cherished by his three chil- dren, Sheryl Van Winkle, Tyn- dall, SD; Debbie Einrem, Sioux Falls, SD; Gary and wife, Michelle (Kreber) Dvo- racek, Springfield, SD; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Karl), Justin (Lisa), Jessica (B.J.), Nick, McKenzie (Ryan), Der- rik, and Garrett; seven great- grandchildren, Tyler (Brittany), Jared, Scott, Tan- ner, Allisan, Kolton, and Kai- ley; two great-great grandchildren, Paisley and Quinn; one brother, Donnley (Pat), Tabor, SD; Randy (Lisa) Weier; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Betty Ann Matuska was born on Sunday, April 18, 1937 to Adolph and Rose (Slaba) Kocmick in Wagner, South Dakota. She graduated Tyndall High School in 1955. On October 4, 1955, Betty was united in marriage to Leonard Matuska at St. Leo Catholic Church in Tyndall. Together they moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1956 where she would work for Pamida Inc. for over 20 years. In 1995, she retired at the age of 55. Leonard and Betty enjoyed wintering in Arizona for 15 years. In 2000, they moved to Yankton and later settled in Tyndall in 2005. In her spare time, Betty loved to golf, dance, and bowl. Betty passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Avera-Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton having attained the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 21 days. She is survived and re- membered by her husband Leonard Matuska of Tyndall; three children: Michael (Karen) Matuska of Canton, Colleen Matuska of Omaha, NE, and Rochelle (Stuart) Hoins of Castle Rock, CO; six grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two sisters: Marilyn (Kenneth) Roth- schadl and Jolene Dutcher; and one brother Norman (Susan) Kocmick. Aisenbrey, age 82 of Olivet, SD passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Aisenbrey-Opsahl-Kostel Memorial Chapel, Menno is in care of the arrangements. Kenneth Carl Aisenbrey was born on June 29, 1932, in the home of his parents in Menno, South Dakota and died on Febru- ary 7, 2015. He was the son of Bethuel John and Mag- dalena Carolina (nee Woehl) Aisenbrey. Kenneth was bap- tized on August 28, 1932, by Rev. Bodeman and confirmed on June 26, 1946, by Rev. Erich Kaempchen in the Salem Reformed Church of Menno. He was a faithful member of the Salem Re- formed Church all of his life. He attended the Menno Pub- lic School and graduated from high school on May 17, 1950. Kenneth had fond memo- ries of his childhood growing up in small town South Dakota. He excelled in school and continued with a lifelong love for learning. He played a cornet in the school band, was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed the out- doors. On May 19, 1950, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a Communi- cations Specialist and retired from the USAF on August 31, 1978, as a Senior Master Ser- geant. In his 28 years, he served all over the United States and also in England, Turkey, Alaska and Thailand. After his retirement, he re- turned to Menno, South Dakota, and was a Massey Ferguson parts man for the Menno Mercantile Farm Im- plement Store for 16 years (1978 to 1994). On May 4, 2003, Kenneth married Kayleen Faye (nee Zeeb) Albrecht and they shared their life together in Olivet, South Dakota. Kenneth acquired many interests and skills through- out his lifetime. He belonged to two Genealogy Societies and their local chapters (The Germans from Russia Her- itage Society and the Ameri- can Historical Society of Germans from Russia). Begin- ning in 1954, he belonged to the Rames-Bender American Legion Post #152 until his death of which he was the Ad- jutant from 1993 to 2011. He supported local activities like the Menno Community Club; the Pioneer Power Show; the Lake Menno Restoration. He enjoyed photography, travel- ing, classical music, leather craft, target shooting, hunt- ing, fishing and the outdoors. His main interest consisted of spending time with his 10 step-grandchildren and watching them grow up. His life reflected a servant’s heart. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dale. He is survived by his wife, Kayleen, three step-children: Bobbi Jo (Mike) Frazier, Roger (Gail) Albrecht and Linda (Mark) Roberts and ten step-grandchildren: Caitlin, Malik and Arianna Frazier; Brady, Amber, Payton and Spencer Albrecht; and Mackenzie, Riley and Hallie Roberts. Marcella was born June 25, 1922, to Frank and Frances Schulte of St. He- lena, Nebraska. She grew up on the family farm, at- tended Catholic grade school in St. Helena, and graduated from Wynot, Ne- braska, High School in 1939. After graduation she was employed in Yankton as a maid for several years and then accompanied an uncle and aunt to Alton, Illinois, where she was em- ployed at Owens Glass Company for approxi- mately four years. She re- turned home to assist with the care of her mother and worked as a drill press op- erator at Crall Freeman Manufacturing in Yankton for two years. She married Laddie E. Svatos May 6, 1946, at Im- maculate Conception Catholic Church in St. He- lena. The couple lived in Omaha, Nebraska, until 1947 when Laddie began employment with Rhian Oil Company, Yankton. Laddie died in 1999, and in 2003 Marcella moved to Seven Oaks at Notre Dame Retire- ment Community in Omaha, Nebraska, to be closer to family. She remained at Seven Oaks until 2014 when she moved to Parsons House Assisted Living Facil- ity, also in Omaha. Marcella was a member of the Catholic Daughters Rosary Makers for more than 50 years, serving as secretary for 13 years; St. Benedict Parish Funeral Committee; Meals on Wheels; and the VFW Auxil- iary. She also had a weekly adoration hour at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton for more than 10 years. Prior to her husband’s retirement, she worked on a part time basis in Yank- ton for Coast to Coast Hardware, Stevenson’s, McEvoy’s Dress and Ap- parel, and was a seasonal employee of Gurney Seed and Nursery for 7 years. She is survived by three children: Gary (Marlene) Svatos of Lincoln, Ne- braska; Dan (Jeanne) Svatos of Omaha, Ne- braska; Judy Gallagher of Owatonna, Minnesota; daughter-in-law (Elizabeth) of Omaha, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, her hus- band, 1 son (Dale Svatos, Omaha), and 1 grandson (Eric Svatos, Omaha). Visitation will be held atthe church on Tuesday, Feb-ruary 10 from 3:00 p.m. untila 7:00 p.m. prayer servicethere, family will be presentfrom 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Leonard H. Dvoracek wasborn on December 24, 1928at his family farm near Tabor,SD to Charlie and Tillie(Jilek) Dvoracek. He movedoff the family farm at the ageof 14, where he worked at thebowling alley and attendedTyndall High School wherehe was crowned homecom-ing king and was a captain ofhis beloved football team.Leonard married Dorothy“Belle” Starr on November 9,1949 in Luverne, MN.Leonard was a dedicatedhard worker and was em-ployed on the constructionof the Yankton Dam andHighway 50, and many other

construction sites and gravelpits. He finally found his wayto his true passion, farming.Leonard had two importantloves in his life: his familyand his farm. He was a lovingand giving father and grand-father who cared deeply andopenly for his family. InLeonard’s eyes, his grand-children could do no wrong.He was a born teacher, instill-ing life lessons by helpingothers understand the busi-ness of farming, helping hisgrandkids learn to drive, andteaching generations of fam-ily members how to playcards. He had an infectiouslaugh and a witty sense ofhumor which made him a fa-vorite among anyone thatmet him. Leonard enjoyedmany hobbies including play-ing pinochle, watchingsports, playing black jack atcasinos, and telling stories ofhis unforgettable life. He wasa member of the United Pres-byterian Church in Tyndall,SD. He died on Saturday Feb-ruary 7, 2015 at the GoodSamaritan Home in Tyndall,

SD at the age of 86 sur-rounded by his loved ones.

Leonard’s memory will becherished by his three chil-dren, Sheryl Van Winkle, Tyn-dall, SD; Debbie Einrem,Sioux Falls, SD; Gary andwife, Michelle (Kreber) Dvo-racek, Springfield, SD; sevengrandchildren, Jeff (Karl),Justin (Lisa), Jessica (B.J.),Nick, McKenzie (Ryan), Der-rik, and Garrett; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler(Brittany), Jared, Scott, Tan-ner, Allisan, Kolton, and Kai-ley; two great-greatgrandchildren, Paisley andQuinn; one brother, Donnley(Pat), Tabor, SD; Randy (Lisa)Weier; and many nieces,nephews, and dear friends.

Betty Ann Matuska wasborn on Sunday, April 18,1937 to Adolph and Rose(Slaba) Kocmick in Wagner,South Dakota. She graduatedTyndall High School in 1955.On October 4, 1955, Bettywas united in marriage toLeonard Matuska at St. LeoCatholic Church in Tyndall.Together they moved toOmaha, Nebraska in 1956where she would work forPamida Inc. for over 20years. In 1995, she retired atthe age of 55. Leonard andBetty enjoyed wintering inArizona for 15 years. In 2000,they moved to Yankton andlater settled in Tyndall in2005. In her spare time, Bettyloved to golf, dance, andbowl.

KennethCarl Aisenbreywas born onJune 29, 1932,in the home ofhis parents inMenno, SouthDakota anddied on Febru-ary 7, 2015.

He was theson of Bethuel John and Mag-dalena Carolina (nee Woehl)Aisenbrey. Kenneth was bap-tized on August 28, 1932, byRev. Bodeman and confirmedon June 26, 1946, by Rev.Erich Kaempchen in theSalem Reformed Church ofMenno. He was a faithfulmember of the Salem Re-formed Church all of his life.He attended the Menno Pub-lic School and graduated fromhigh school on May 17, 1950.

Kenneth had fond memo-ries of his childhood growing

up in small town SouthDakota. He excelled in schooland continued with a lifelonglove for learning. He played acornet in the school band,was an Eagle Scout in the BoyScouts, and enjoyed the out-doors.

On May 19, 1950, Kennethenlisted in the United StatesAir Force. He was a Communi-cations Specialist and retiredfrom the USAF on August 31,1978, as a Senior Master Ser-geant. In his 28 years, heserved all over the UnitedStates and also in England,Turkey, Alaska and Thailand.

After his retirement, he re-turned to Menno, SouthDakota, and was a MasseyFerguson parts man for theMenno Mercantile Farm Im-plement Store for 16 years(1978 to 1994).

On May 4, 2003, Kennethmarried Kayleen Faye (nee

Zeeb) Albrecht and theyshared their life together inOlivet, South Dakota.

Kenneth acquired manyinterests and skills through-out his lifetime. He belongedto two Genealogy Societiesand their local chapters (TheGermans from Russia Her-itage Society and the Ameri-can Historical Society ofGermans from Russia). Begin-ning in 1954, he belonged tothe Rames-Bender AmericanLegion Post #152 until hisdeath of which he was the Ad-jutant from 1993 to 2011. Hesupported local activities likethe Menno Community Club;the Pioneer Power Show; theLake Menno Restoration. Heenjoyed photography, travel-ing, classical music, leathercraft, target shooting, hunt-ing, fishing and the outdoors.His main interest consisted ofspending time with his 10

step-grandchildren andwatching them grow up. Hislife reflected a servant’sheart.

Kenneth was preceded indeath by his parents and hisbrother, Dale.

He is survived by his wife,Kayleen, three step-children:Bobbi Jo (Mike) Frazier,Roger (Gail) Albrecht andLinda (Mark) Roberts and tenstep-grandchildren: Caitlin,Malik and Arianna Frazier;Brady, Amber, Payton andSpencer Albrecht; andMackenzie, Riley and HallieRoberts.

Marcella was born June25, 1922, to Frank andFrances Schulte of St. He-lena, Nebraska. She grewup on the family farm, at-tended Catholic gradeschool in St. Helena, andgraduated from Wynot, Ne-braska, High School in1939. After graduation shewas employed in Yanktonas a maid for several yearsand then accompanied anuncle and aunt to Alton,Illinois, where she was em-ployed at Owens GlassCompany for approxi-mately four years. She re-turned home to assist withthe care of her mother andworked as a drill press op-erator at Crall FreemanManufacturing in Yanktonfor two years.

She married Laddie E.Svatos May 6, 1946, at Im-maculate ConceptionCatholic Church in St. He-lena. The couple lived inOmaha, Nebraska, until1947 when Laddie beganemployment with Rhian OilCompany, Yankton. Laddiedied in 1999, and in 2003Marcella moved to SevenOaks at Notre Dame Retire-ment Community in Omaha,Nebraska, to be closer tofamily. She remained atSeven Oaks until 2014 whenshe moved to ParsonsHouse Assisted Living Facil-ity, also in Omaha.

Marcella was a memberof the Catholic DaughtersRosary Makers for morethan 50 years, serving assecretary for 13 years; St.Benedict Parish FuneralCommittee; Meals onWheels; and the VFW Auxil-iary. She also had a weeklyadoration hour at SacredHeart Catholic Church inYankton for more than 10years.

Prior to her husband’sretirement, she worked ona part time basis in Yank-ton for Coast to CoastHardware, Stevenson’s,McEvoy’s Dress and Ap-parel, and was a seasonalemployee of Gurney Seedand Nursery for 7 years.

She is survived by threechildren: Gary (Marlene)Svatos of Lincoln, Ne-braska; Dan (Jeanne)Svatos of Omaha, Ne-braska; Judy Gallagher ofOwatonna, Minnesota;daughter-in-law (Elizabeth)of Omaha, Nebraska; 8grandchildren; and 5 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded indeath by her parents, 4brothers, 1 sister, her hus-band, 1 son (Dale Svatos,Omaha), and 1 grandson(Eric Svatos, Omaha).
