Let’s have a look at one of the industry sectors in a little more
detail
To find out more about the sector, a student may wish to
start off by clicking on the ‘Watch the Video’
Within each industry sector, there are a number of
different features on the sector ‘wall’
This will then open up a media player. ‘Watch the Video’ is an engaging and exciting overview of an
industry sector. It contains clips of well known firms and local trade cut together to create a
compelling, attractive and intriguing trailer about the sector which will hopefully get your mind
thinking about if it is the sector for you!
To investigate the range of different opportunities within each sector, you
can click into the Job Bank
A rich portfolio of sector jobs can be found in the Job Bank. Many entries
contain video case studies with real people who do
the job. Use the scroll bar on the right hand side to
read about accountabilities, getting in, skills and qualities, salary and much more.
To explore businesses work operate within each sector, you can click onto the ‘View Businesses in this Sector’ feature - one of the most
exciting on the wall.

informs you of the type of organisation it is and where it is
based

bounds. By clicking on the arrows at the bottom, you can pan around 360 degrees and explore the work place
You can interact with the working environment by clicking on the information hot spots which bring up more
information about job roles, systems and procedures, health and safety, hardware, software and technology and
anything else of interest in the room
