Free wireless access is available at the Main, Colonia Branch and

South Oxnard Branch Library for patrons using their own wireless-capable devices

during open hours.

COMPUTER USE

All Oxnard libraries offer free 60 minutes per day computer use

with Internet access and a variety of word processing options on

a walk-in basis. Pay-to-use computers are offered at the Main Library and South Oxnard Branch

Library if additional time is needed. Call or stop by your nearest library

for more information.

IN-N-OUT COVER TO COVER READING PROGRAM

Oct. 6 – Nov. 17Stop by any Oxnard Public Library to

sign up for the In-N-Out Cover to Cover Reading Program. Read five books and get a coupon for a free

hamburger, cheeseburger, or grilled cheese! Children ages 4-12 are

eligible to participate. Earn up to three coupons per child.

Library Homework Centers

The Oxnard Main Library and the South Oxnard Branch Library Homework Centers provide one-on-one homework help for K through 12th grade students. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, the South Oxnard Branch Library has hours from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. alternating Saturdays. The Homework Centers offer computers with Internet access, word processing programs, computer assistance and printing for school assignments. Students are asked to bring their homework assignments with them. Library staff are currently recruiting volunteer tutors to provide two hours or more of help per week. Volunteer at the Library Teen Council

There are many volunteer opportunities whether it is teaching adults to learn to read, helping children with their homework assignments, or being a VolunTeen. If you are interested in helping the community, please call us at: (805) 385-7532 for the Main Library, (805) 385-8129 for the South Oxnard Branch Library and (805) 385-8108 for the Colonia Library.

If you are in 6th through 12th grade and are interested in supporting your community library by making suggestions for upcoming youth events and even using this fun experience on a college application, consider joining the Teen Council. The Family Place & A St. Playhouse Library Gift Shop

Both the Main Library and South Oxnard Branch Library offer special spaces for babies through five year-olds and their parents/caregivers. The spaces provide a unique opportunity for babies and young children to learn by playing with and sharing developmentally appropriate toys and books. Also offered are: parenting books, DVDs, pamphlets, and magazines for parents/caregivers.

Located at the Main Library and operated by Oxnard Friends of the Library Foundation volunteers, the Gift Shop offers a great selection of greeting cards, toys, jewelry, purses, candles, scarves, seasonal items and used books. All proceeds benefit the Oxnard Public Library’s programs. (805) 385-7506.
