Entwined Minds Book Club Monday, August 14 at 1pm

All About the Eclipse Friday, August 18 at 6 pm

Please join us for an after-hours program presented by

our special guest Patrick McMahon from the Fort

Worth Astronomical Society. Learn everything you

need to know to be ready for the solar eclipse.

Solar Eclipse Viewing Event Monday, August 21 from 12 to 2 pm

Watch the lives tream from NASA’s Digital Learning

Network Eclipse Event in the library program room.

We will also have pinhole viewers, sunglasses, magnifi-

ers, sunoculars, and an EclipseView telescope set up in

the courtyard between the library and the REC for a

variety of viewing experiences. Everyone is welcome.

The first 50 attendees will receive a free pair of eclipse

viewing sunglasses.

Blender Basics

Who: Ages 12+

What: This course will demonstrate how to maneu-

ver and manipulate in a 3D environment. Students

will learn basic 3D modeling skills.

All ages and skill levels are invited to learn or prac-

tice yo-yo, spin top, diabolo, and kendama skills.

STEManiacs featuring Bee-Bots Come to STEManiacs on Thursdays be-

tween 1 and 3 pm to try out Bee-Bots, on

loan from UT Dallas. Bee-Bot is a robot designed for

use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-

operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for

teaching sequencing, estimation, problem-solving,

and just having fun!
