This year transpired to be yet another GLORIOUS year – one of the greatest years we have seen as a church. We saw more salvations, deliverances, healings, signs, wonders and miracles than before, the Lord took us higher than we’ve ever been before and the glory of God increased upon us in a greater way. Towards the end of 2013, the Lord gave me a prophecy for 2014 and what we were to expect this year.

“For 2014, the Lord revealed it will be the greatest year the Body of Christ has EVER seen! It will be a very significant year and a major turning point not only for our church but for many churches and ministries as well as the church all over the world! God will release His glory in a way unlike anything we have ever experienced before! We will be CATAPULTED to a level of glory so great, even Christians will struggle to believe it! Revivals will break out in many places all over the world! God spent 2013 and the past three decades specifically preparing the church for what He is going to do now. He revealed to me that if He released the glory like He really wanted to and did everything He wanted to before this time, the church and the world will not be able to handle it, we will abuse it or will simply be crushed under the pressure of it. However, rather than cast the Church aside, God in His infinite love and mercy, as He did with Joseph of the Old Testament and many of the great men and women of the Bible, led us through a process of pruning, purification and transformation in preparation for the glory to come so that we will not crack under the pressure of it but will be vessels and ministers of it. And now that time has come!

The number 14 is significant for this time. Two of the numbers which make up the number 14 are 7 and 2. 7x2 which equal 14 and two sevens, 7+7 which also equal 14. The number seven is the Biblical number which represents spiritual perfection, the perfection and fullness of God’s timing as well as victory in Christ. The number two represents the second person of the Holy Trinity, Jesus Christ. When a number is doubled or tripled as in this case, it represents a more intensified version of the number and its meaning and is conveying a significant message. In this case, it conveys the fact that 2014 is God’s perfect timing to reveal the glory of Jesus Christ in a greater and more intense way than before! It will be a year of GREAT VICTORY for the Church which will continue to increase in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and beyond.

The color that represents 2014 is the colour gold. When God showed me visions of 2014, I saw the color gold! I saw solid gold, gold liquid, gold lights, gold sparkles, gold wind and gold dust. Gold is the heavenly color. It is the color of the King of kings and represents the glory of God, authority, power, kingship, heaven, eternity, royalty, purity, righteousness, wealth, riches and glory. It also represents an increase of the glory of God, angelic activity and the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. In 2014, the Lord will increase His glory in and through the Church as well as increase the authority and power of the Church. We will see more salvations, deliverances and healings as well as greater signs, wonders and miracles. For the world, the darkness will continue to grow darker and will be worse than this year but God will release His glory in a greater way in and

through the Church so that we can be a beacon of light in the ever increasing darkness and as a result, see an unprecedented harvest of souls come to Christ before His return which is the main purpose for this. This is exactly what we will see next year and in the coming years.” (Richard Pace - Pastor’s Letter 2013)

As always, God was again faithful to fulfil His word. It was the greatest year the Church has ever seen. Although it was a year of great persecution for the Church, it was the year more people came to Christ than in any other year. The color gold, which represents the glory of God, was an appropriate description for 2014.The glory of God was truly released, increased and multiplied in our own ministry and the Churches worldwide. We saw more salvations, deliverances, healings, signs, wonders and miracles than we have at any other time and we saw a significant increase in numbers. This year was definitely a major turning point for our ministry with an important, personal contact made with Pastor Benny Hinn at his Sydney crusade in July. A contact that launched Light of the World Ministries Church into the worldwide, public arena and opened the door for greater things. We saw greater victories this year and the Lord truly vindicated us against our enemies.

However, as the Lord revealed, the darkness in the world grew much darker than ever with the sudden increase of terrorism in the world, our own shores and neighborhoods. Never since 9/11 has this threat been so near and present, even as far as terrorist groups and plots exposed in our own neighborhoods. The threat of full scale war between Israel and the Arab nations once again proved to be more real now than ever, just as the Lord revealed last year and many years before in prophecy, “There will be war between Israel and the Arab nations which will bring the greatest move of God the world has seen so far. Israel is God’s time clock and whenever

there is war in Israel, a move of God always follows.” The Lord gave me another prophecy about this many years ago and brought it to my attention again this year. “This is part of a prophecy I received in 2010! The Lord revealed to me that towards the end of the year, when the weather is at its warmest in Australia (Springtime/Summertime), more specifically between September and January, there will be war in the Middle East! It will begin as a simple conflict then will escalate into ALL OUT WORLD WAR! It will spill out into Israel and will pull Israel into war with the Arab nations! From there it will spill out into the world and will be so bloody and destructive that none like it has been seen before! It will cause the nuclear bomb to be resurrected and one third of the world’s population will be destroyed as a result! It has been ordained for the end of the year (according to the Gregorian calendar). Whenever it occurs, it will always be at the end of the year! However, the Lord said if prayer and fasting is offered, it will be postponed again! It has been postponed for two years now and it will be postponed again! However, it will EVENTUALLY come!” (Richard Pace – Pastor’s Letter 2013).

Natural and man-made disasters increased in frequency and severity as was also prophesied, “Natural disasters will continue to increase in frequency and severity (especially earthquakes, tsunamis and floods).” (Richard Pace – Pastor’s Letter 2013).

This was also fulfilled with the outbreak of the Ebola virus. On the 1/7/1995, the Lord gave me a prophecy saying, “The earth is barren and desolate. Resolutions are a delusion. Agreements are broken. Friendships are forgotten. Love has grown cold. Diseases will plague the world. One is cured but another is born. A cure for aids will be found, a cure for cancer will be found. Cures for many diseases

will be found but as these diseases are being cured, others worse than these will come. The world suffers at the hand of diseases caused by sin and human error. However, compared to the diseases to come, it will be better for a man to die at the hand of the former than the latter.” And also on the 6/12/1995, “Sickness and disease will overpower the world. Many will be affected.” However, in the midst of this, God has promised to defend and protect His people.

For 2015, the Lord revealed it will again be a year when the world will continue to decline into deeper darkness, destruction and chaos and the Church will continue to rise in glory and power. Natural and man-made disasters will continue to increase in frequency and severity and will be worse next year than what has occurred so far. Just as 2014 was signified by the colour gold, 2015 will be signified by two colors, blue and green. As the Lord has been speaking to me about 2015, I saw the colors blue and green. Blue represents the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, cleansing, purification and transformation by the washing of the water of the Word of God, peace and victory in Christ. Green represents (divine) healing, health, prosperity and multiplication. Then I saw the two colors merge to become one – a deep, dark aqua colour signifying that all these things will occur together. The Lord will open the floodgates of His Spirit, glory, presence, power and blessings again and a flood of revival will spread throughout this spiritually dry land. As the world is plunged further into war, the church will experience the peace of God and we will see greater victories. We will see more salvations, deliverances and healings as well as greater prosperity, and multiplication in the Church and when people see how God is moving in and through the Church, they will want to give their lives to Jesus and be saved.

This year brought the first two blood moons of a four blood moon tetrad which will continue in 2015. At our monthly intercessory meeting on the first Tuesday of October, the night before the second blood moon, the Lord showed me a vision and spoke to me about events that will transpire as a result of the second blood moon. As we worshiped and prayed at the monthly intercessory meeting, I looked to the front of the hall to see a vision of clouds parting to reveal a bright yellow sun. As the clouds parted, the rays of the sun shone through the clouds which turned everything a bright yellow/gold colour. I then looked up to see a tidal wave of water crashing to the ground from above. The water was crystal clear. It was so clear, it looked like liquid glass. It was like a waterfall from heaven. I could hear the water crashing to the ground. Then it rushed through the people from the front of the hall to the back and I could hear the sound of it. Then I looked up again to see another tidal wave just like the first, but of oil. The oil was so clean and clear, it looked like transparent, liquid gold. It too crashed to the ground then rushed through the people from the front of the hall to the back. Then I heard the Lord say, “What you are seeing is an open heaven over you, your Church and the Body of Christ. The first wave represents a wave of cleansing, purification and transformation I am sending through the Church. It also represents the Holy Spirit and a MIGHTY move of my Spirit I am about to release in the Church and the world. The second wave represents an increase and intensifying of My glory, power and anointing in and through the Church. There will be such a GLORIOUS revival in the Church, it will overflow and spill out into the world! MULTITUDES will be saved, delivered and healed once again!” He then gave me prophetic scriptures from Isa 35:1-10, Isa 41:17-20 and Isa 43:18-21 to confirm the vision.

I then heard the Lord give a loud call of three statements to the Church, which were, WAKE UP, RISE UP and BE READY! The Lord revealed to me these are three prophetic calls or trumpets as well as seasons the Body of Christ is about to go through as a result of the second blood moon. The first , WAKE UP! The Lord is going to shake the Church out of its spiritual laziness and slumber. The second, RISE UP! The Lord is going to raise up His end time army from those who have been woken up and are serious about God’s cause. And the third, BE READY! The Lord is mobilizing the Church for war and victory. He is preparing us for something HUGE!

At the end of 2013 and the commencement of 2014 the Lord said, “The Church and the world is going to war!” Spiritual warfare will intensify in the heavenlies and natural warfare will intensify on the earth.” On the night of the second blood moon, we had our Wednesday night revival fire meeting. As the moon was eclipsed, the Lord was moving in a MIGHTY way among the people who came with deliverances, healings, signs, wonders and miracles He then showed me a vision of angels being released into the earth. I could see them coming from heaven, past the moon towards the earth. Then I saw demons coming out to meet them. They both charged towards each other with great speed and veracity until they engaged each other with a loud CRASH and rumbling. I could see them fighting one another. I declared the vision to the people. Then I said, “The Lord is revealing to me that as confirmation, He has revealed the same or a similar vision to people here.” When I said this, five people confirmed they had seen the same or a similar thing that night and went on to explain their visions which were practically the same as the vision the Lord showed me. Then I heard the Lord say, “War is about to intensify in the heavenlies and on the earth. As war intensifies in the heavenlies, it will also intensify on the earth and the sign of this will be that war will escalate in the Middle

East. Terrorists will push forward to overtake suburbs, cities and nations. However, they will eventually be driven back and defeated.” The very next morning, we heard a news report that ISIL were beginning to move into and take territory in Africa and other places.

The Lord also revealed that after the second blood moon, He will gather the Jewish people back to their homeland from all the nations of the earth where they have been scattered (Eze 36:24-30). Once they have all returned to Israel, the tribulation period will begin. The Lord also said that as we move from 2014 and into 2015, a great sifting, pruning and purification will occur in the Church. He will separate the sheep from the goats (Mt 25:31-46). He will sift those who are truly dedicated to the Lord from those who say they are but are actually not. The Lord will weed out and remove the sin, filth and impurity from believers and the Church and will transform us into the spotless bride ready for His return. Holiness will be a major topic in 2015. The Lord will bring His people to a higher level and deeper realm of holiness with Him which will result in deeper intimacy with the Lord and an increase of the anointing upon the Church. We will also see the final two blood moons occur. The third blood moon occurring on Passover, 4/4/15 and the second on Sukkot, 28/9/15 with a solar eclipse on Adar 29/Nisan 1, 20/3/15 which will bring a great and dramatic change in the world.

Get ready! We will see greater things with the Lord in 2015!

THE POWER OF DECLARATION

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” Mk 11:23 (NKJV).

We are in a time and season when we will see greater things! The Lord revealed to me that now is the time we will see Him do things unprecedented and unseen since the early Church. He also revealed that He will NOW break and reverse negative cycles people have been struggling with for years! It is the season to see the promises of God fulfilled in our lives and to receive everything He has for us and one of the most powerful ways this will come to pass is through the words of our mouths.

Many are struggling to receive from God and don’t understand why. Many are not receiving God’s best because they continually express themselves with negative words and hardly ever declare the word of God by faith. As children of God, He has provided and given us access to every promise, benefit and blessing of His word and kingdom through His Son Jesus Christ and the New Covenant. However, just because we are children of God doesn’t mean everything is dropped into our laps. At times we will have to appropriate, lay hold of or receive it (1 Tim 6:12 & 19).

We also live in a natural world and must learn to receive from the spirit world. Just as there are things we need to do to receive in the natural, there are things we need to do to receive in the

spirit and one of them is declaration. Many are not able to receive from the spirit into the natural, although it is God’s will for them to, because they are not declaring the word and promises of God or worse still, are declaring negative words.

The word of God reveals our words have power. Proverbs 18:20 & 21 declares, “A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled” (Vs. 20) and “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Vs. 21) (NKJV).

Jesus declared; “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this m o u n t a i n , ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things

he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” Mk 11:23 (NKJV).

These three verses reveal our words have power and we will have whatever we say if we believe that what we say will come to pass. Jesus stated “whoever says to this mountain”, this suggests it’s a spiritual law or principal which will work for both the positive or negative. Also, this doesn’t necessarily mean we will say something once or even twice and it will immediately come to pass, although it may occur that way, but it’s more about a continual expression of certain words, statements or phrases. Notice Jesus says the word “says” three times in this verse? The words “says” suggests a continual expression of certain words, statements or phrases. If you are continually expressing yourself with negative words, and believing it, that’s what you will receive but if you are continually expressing yourself with positive words, statement or phrases, especially the word and promises of God, and believing it, that’s what you will receive. In order to believe or have faith that what we say will come to pass, we must first know God’s will, His word and promises. We find out God’s will and know His word and promises by, 1. Seeking the Lord and 2. Searching His word. When we know God’s will, word and promises, it gives us faith to declare His word (Rom 10:17, 1 Jn 5:14-15). When we do, we will see them come to pass because it is by faith they do.

Words have power! Although actions speak

louder than words, words can influence our actions. Just as God’s words have power, our words have power. Why? Because God created us in His image and after His likeness and has put His Holy Spirit in us. Just the fact God created humankind in His image and after His likeness means our words have power by default whether a person is a believer or non-believer but especially if a person is a believer.

Gen 1:1-2 states, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” (NKJV). God’s Spirit always follows and moves upon His word! Here we see the Holy Spirit was hovering over the face of the waters. What was He doing? Waiting. What was He waiting for? God to speak the word. Once God spoke the word, the Holy Spirit moved to create what He said. Here we see the Holy Trinity working together as one, God the Father speaking, Jesus Christ in the form of the Word of God (Jn 1:1-5 & 14), and the Holy Spirit moving to create what God said.

God created nothing without first declaring it! We see that from here on whenever God created something, He spoke it into being. “And God said…” “And God said…” “And God said…” However, when God creates man, we see something different. God does not create man (Adam) with His words but with His hands then breathed the breath of life or His HOLY SPIRIT into him. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust

of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Gen 2:7 (NKJV). Because of this, just as God’s words have power, our words have power. Whenever God spoke, His breath or His Holy Spirit followed to create what He said. If you hold your hand up to your mouth and speak, what happens? You feel your breath on your hand as you speak. Your breath follows your words. Your breath is inseparable from your word and just as your breath is inseparable from your words, the Holy Spirit is inseparable from God’s word. So, just as the word of God has power, our words have power because God’s Holy Spirit lives in us.

Words are seeds we sow into the soil of our lives and the lives of others. Paul wrote in Gal 6:7-8, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” (NKJV). Here, Paul describes the law of sowing and reaping which can be applied to our words. Our words are vehicles that carry life or death, blessing or cursing, healing or sickness, restoration or destruction. If you are continually expressing yourself with negative, destructive words, you will reap destruction but if you are continually expressing yourself with words of faith and the word of God, you will reap life. We are justified by our words and we are condemned by our words. Jesus stated, “But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Mt 12:36-37 (NKJV). We even receive salvation by faith in Jesus Christ through our words (Rom 10:9). However, we must have balance where this is concerned. Many people become religious or

legalistic when it comes to declaring the word of faith. They completely ignore anything negative and some even pretend all is well when it really isn’t. Faith is not ignoring the circumstances but recognising them to overcome them. However we must not focus on the negative or continually declare negative things.

“You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Job 22:28 (NKJV)

The words Declare/Decree, according to the Oxford English Dictionary mean, to say something in a solemn and emphatic manner. Pronounce or assert (a person or thing) to be something specified.

The words Declare/Decree, according to Job 22:28, is the Hebrew word Gazar (Gaw-zar) (1504. Heb. Strong’s) and means, to cut down or off, to destroy, divide, exclude, decide, snatch (take).

The word Say, according to Mk 11:23, is the Greek word epo (2036. Gk. Stong’s) and means, to speak or say (by word or writing), tell, command, bid, answer, bring word, call, grant.

Words in themselves have no power but what makes them powerful and a declaration is they are spoken with purpose, intention and motive. However, for a believer, it’s so much more than that. What makes them powerful for a believer is they are spoken by one who is in an intimate relationship with God and who knows His will.

“The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit”

When a believer who walks in an intimate relationship with God and knows His word, promises and will, declares the word of God by faith, they are “anointed words”. This is what gives them their power. The Holy Spirit and His anointing gives them power. Also, declaration is not about declaring something in your own strength until it happens. It’s about putting your faith in God and His word, knowing God’s word, will and promises and declaring them by faith. Jesus Himself stated, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” Mk 11:22-23 (NKJV).

There are facts and there is truth. Facts can change but truth remains the same. The word of God is truth. Truth changes facts. The fact may be you’re sick, but the truth is “By His stripes we are healed” (Isa 53:5). How do we change facts? By declaring the truth (the Word of God). Jesus Himself said, “Your (God’s) word is truth.” Jn 17:17 (NKJV).

The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Eph 6:17, Heb 4:12) Jesus Himself defeated Satan in the wilderness, not just by His words, but by declaring the word of God (Mt 4:1-11).

The Lord revealed to me that many Christians are not receiving from God because they don’t know God’s word and are not declaring it. There are three stages to receiving from God and our words are involved,

1. Asking (Dan 10:12, Mk 11:24, 1 Jn 5:13-15)

2. Declaring (Prvbs 18:20-21, Job 22:28, Mk 11:23)

3. Receiving (Mk 11:24, 1 Jn 5:13-15)

If we keep asking when we should be declaring, we will not receive. There are certain things that will not come unless we declare them. Many do not receive from God because they are asking when they should be declaring. If you keep asking God for something as though you don’t have it, although He has already promised it, you won’t receive it. The Lord revealed to me that many Christians are still asking when they should be declaring and that is why they are not receiving. We must move form asking to declaring in order to receive.

One of the ways we receive from God or translate the promises and blessings of God from the spirit into the natural is by declaration (speaking it forth). In order to declare something and see it come to pass, you must have faith it will. In order

to have faith that what you declare will come to pass, you must know God’s will for it and to know God’s will for it, you must know God’s word about it. Knowing God’s will gives you faith to declare it and receive it. (1 Jn 5:13-15).

How to receive from the spirit to the natural

When it comes to this issue, we must cease declaring negative words and make a decision to declare the word of God. However it’s not as simple as this or simply telling someone to stop using negative words. Negative words come from a negative attitude. A negative attitude comes from a negative spirit. A negative spirit comes from negative things in your heart and negative things in your heart come from negative things we watch or listen to as well as negative or traumatic experiences of the past. Jesus declared, “Brood of vipers, how can you,

being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Mt 12:34-37 (NKJV)

Therefore, we must,

1. Confess and repent of anything we may have watched or heard that may have brought a negative spirit or attitude into our lives.

2. Confess and repent of expressing ourselves with negative words.

3. Break the power of those negative words (or curses) in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ.

4. Bind, rebuke and cast out any demons that may have gained a foothold in our lives through those negative words or confessions in the name of Jesus.

5. Cut off any avenues and shut any doors through which they may have come, in the name and by the blood of Jesus.

6. Receive healing from any hurts, wounds and traumas of the past.

Once we have done these, we must then do the following,

1. Find out (know) God’s will for you, your situation or the person, people or situations you are praying for. Two key ways you find out the will of God are, 1. Seeking God and listening to His voice. 2. Searching, reading and hearing the Word of God.

2. Find the promises of God’s word for your situation. Once you know God’s will for a situation find the promises of God’s word for that specific situation.

3. Put those promises into your spirit by reading and hearing them over and over again. Once the promises are in your spirit, a spiritual chemical reaction will occur where faith will be released and you will then have faith to believe the promise is yours and WILL come to pass.

4. Declare the promises. After the third stage, then and only then, begin declaring the promises. You will not be able to declare the promises of God and expect to see them come to pass unless there is faith. This will require perseverance because when you begin to declare the promises by faith, the enemy will begin to oppose you. However, be encouraged. This is actually proof and confirmation you are on the right track and need to press on. Declare the promises of God over and over again as often as possible.

5. Wait on the Lord to bring it to pass in His way and time.

A Spiritual Prescription

Just as a doctor prescribes medicine to help heal sickness and disease, God’s word is a spiritual prescription or spiritual medicine which brings deliverance, healing and transformation.

A powerful way to apply this is to declare the words and promises of God three times each, three times a day. Using Isa 53:5 as an example, declare the word and promises of God,

1. In thanks and praise to God, “Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank and praise you that by His stripes, I am healed!” (Isa 53:5)

2. To the enemy, “In the name of Jesus Christ, Satan and demons, I declare that by the stripes of Jesus Christ, I am healed!” (Isa 53:5)

3. To the circumstances, In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that by His stripes, I am healed!” (Isa 53:5)

This is how God’s people are going to receive from Him in the coming season – by declaring His word and promises despite their feelings, what Satan and demons say and do, what people say and do, what the world says and does and how the circumstances look. As you, by God’s grace, faithfully continue to do this and persevere until the end, you WILL see the will, plan, purposes and promises of God fulfilled in your life. You will see the answer to your prayers, the fulfilment of the promises of God to you, miracles, breakthrough and victory.

Are they (the angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation” (Heb 1:5-14).

We are in a season of war! The Church is at war! The Lord is specifically dealing with certain demons at this time and is taking us into battle against and victory over the Jezebel spirit, the spirit of Ba’al and the spirit of Ahab as well as witchcraft, occult, control and many others. In December 2013 the Lord spoke to me and said that as we move out of 2013 and into 2014, the Church is going to war. But it will be a war of REST! Meaning, we will fight and win the next battle by RESTING IN GOD, which is learning how to receive the victory by putting our complete and total trust in God and His word ESPECIALLY when we don’t know or understand what’s happening. It will be swift, effortless and the Lord will fight for us! (Exo 14:13-16, 2 Chron 20:17, Deut 28:7). This is how we are going to receive from God in the coming days, weeks, months and years. As a matter of fact, this is how we are to receive from God at all times, by resting in God.

The first and most important rule of warfare, including spiritual warfare is, “know your enemy!” However, if we are going to know our enemies, we must also know our allies. The apostle Paul wrote “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Paul

here explains we are involved in a spiritual battle against spiritual enemies. In a spiritual battle, just as in a natural battle, there are two sides at war with one another. As Paul reveals, we are involved in this spiritual battle but just as we have enemies that come against us, we also have allies that fight with and for us and these allies are far more powerful than any enemies that would pit themselves against us. These allies are the angels of God (2 Kin 6:8-18).

The word of God tells us something awesome about these allies, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation” (Heb 1:14).

Angels are ministering spirits sent to minister for us. They are our servants. God did not create humankind for the angels, He created the angels for humankind. Angels are not above us, we are above them. Why, because God put us above them (Ps 8:4-5, Heb 2:7 and 9). Here, the English translation reveals God has made man a little lower than the angels but in the Hebrew, the word “angels” is “Elohim” which means “God, the creator”. So in the Hebrew, the word of God here reveals that God has made us a little lower than Himself which means we are above the angels.

In Heb 1:14, the word of God reveals very clearly the primary function of angels which is to minister for us. Who are these heirs of salvation? Us, believers, the church (the body of Christ).

To many, the statement “heirs of salvation” is obscure which creates confusion about the role angels play in our lives. This in turn, prevents us from enjoying the wonderful ministry God has provided for us through them. What does this statement actually mean? The word “heirs” in the Greek is kleronomeo (klay-ron-om-eh-o) (2816. Gk, The New Strong’s Expanded Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible) which means; to be an heir to: - be heir, obtain by inheritance, inherit. Kleronomeo strictly means to inherit by lot (kleros, “a lot,” nemomai, “to possess”); then in a more general sense, “to possess oneself of, to receive as one’s own, to obtain.” The idea of inheritance broadens to include all spiritual good provided through and in Christ, and particularly all that is contained in the hope grounded on the promises of God. In the context of Heb 14:1, “heirs” is referring to believers (those who are born again). As born again believers, we have received an inheritance from God and are co-heirs of the kingdom in Christ (Rom 8:17). The word for salvation in the Greek is sozo which means “(to) save” (4982, The New Strong’s Expanded Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible) and is related to another Greek word with the same meaning, soteria which means “salvation” (4991, The New Strong’s Expanded Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible). Salvation is not just about being saved from eternal judgment for our sins in Christ Jesus but means; rescue or safety, protection, deliverance, (divine) healing and health, preservation, to make (be) whole (wholeness), nothing missing, nothing broken, to do well, preserve. It also refers to victory (over the enemy, Satan and demons). “Salvation” is used in the New Testament of material and temporal deliverance from danger, apprehension and suffering. We, as born again believers, have not only been saved but have received an inheritance from God in Christ which involves all of these blessings and much more including the ministry of the holy angels. The angels are assigned to bring these blessings to us or to help us receive them. This reveals angels, although are not the source of these blessings and graces, are carriers of them to us. The angels also help us combat and overcome Satan and demons.

This also reveals the angels are involved in helping those who shall be heirs of salvation, receive their salvation. To help bring men and women to salvation in Christ Jesus through the preaching of the Gospel.

Angels ministered to and served Jesus (Mt 4:11, Mt 26:53, Lk 22:43). Angels announced His birth (Lk 1:26-38) and resurrection (Mt 28:2-7). And just as they ministered to Jesus, they also minister to us.

The scripture in Heb 2:5 states, “For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels.” (NKJV). God has not put the world to come in subjection to angels. Who has God put it under subjection to? Jesus Christ! And who has Jesus given it to? Us! The Church! (Lk 10:17-20. Esp Vs. 19). And that world involves the holy angels.

As well as this, humankind is the only created being God has revealed Himself to as “The Lord God” (Gen 2:7). The angels do not know Him as “The Lord God”. Some may argue, “But don’t they call Him “The Lord God in Isaiah Chapter six?” Yes, but its one thing to call Him “The Lord God” and another to KNOW Him as “The Lord God”. The angels cannot have an intimate relationship with God as we can. The animals do not know Him as “The Lord God”. The trees and plants do not know Him as “The Lord God” and Satan and demons do not know Him as “The Lord God”. Only man/woman can know God as “The Lord God”. In other words, God created and gave humankind the ability, privilege and honour of having an intimate relationship with Him. The name, “The Lord God” is associated with covenant, ownership, relationship and intimacy.

In Genesis 1:26-31 we see the name “God” is used in association with creation – the creation and restoration of the Earth. The name “God” in the Hebrew is “Elohim” which means “Creator”. But in Genesis 2:7, when God created Adam, we see something different. We see the name “The Lord

God”. The word “Lord” here in the Hebrew is “Adonai”. This word is associated with covenant, ownership, relationship and intimacy. When God created Adam, the name “The Lord God” is used, which tells us God reveals Himself, not only to Adam, but to humankind as the God of covenant relationship and intimacy – the God who desires to have a relationship and intimacy with us.

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them” (Ps 34:7, NKJV).

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation” (Heb 1:14).

The word “angel” in the Hebrew is malak (mal-awk) (4397, Heb, Strong’s Concordance). The word malak (angel) means, to despatch as a deputy; a messenger of God. An angel (Also a prophet, priest or teacher).

The word “angel” in the Greek is aggelos (ang-el-os) (32, Gk, Strong’s Concordance). The word aggelos (angel) can be referring to a messenger or Pastor and is a messenger sent either by God, man or Satan. Angelos can be referring to three types of angels (messengers) depending upon the context in which it is used. It can be referring to;

1. Holy angels (Heb 1:14)

2. Human angels (messengers). Men and women of God who come with the message of the Gospel, and human agents of the enemy who hinder the preaching of the Gospel (2 Cor 11:13-15, Revelation chapter 2 & 3) And

3. Wicked angels (or demons) (Dan 10:13, Eph 6:12, 2 Pet 2:4, Rev 12:7-9)

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” Eph 6:12 (NKJV).

The Origin of Satan

Satan was created by God as a perfect angel. Satan was called Lucifer and lived in heaven. Lucifer was above every other angel in heaven and his appearance was beautiful and dazzling. He radiated light and glory. He was covered with gold and shimmering jewels. Lucifer was the chief covering angel and he served in the throne room of God (Isa 14:9-15 NKJV). Although this portion of God’s word is attributed to a man, the king of Babylon, it can be attributed to Satan, the enemy of our souls. Here we see a number of revelations about Satan including his origin.

Here, the word of God states, “How you have fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!” We know that Satan was called Lucifer before his fall and he fell from heaven. The word “Lucifer” in the Hebrew is heylel which means; in the sense of brightness, the morning star: - Lucifer (1966. Heb, The New Strong’s Expanded, Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible). The word heylel can also be used in relation to praise. In fact, the word heylel also means “praise”

and is the root of the word “halleluiah” which means “Praise the Lord”. This confirms Lucifer was the chief angel of worship and was responsible for the worship of God in heaven. The word “praise” is in his name.

“And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth” (Rev 12:3 & 4, NKJV).

Here we see the dragon represents Satan and the stars that he drew with his tail and threw upon the earth are the holy angels who sided with Lucifer/Satan in the great rebellion against God. These rebellious, holy angels became the wicked angels or demons we wrestle with today. This is confirmed in verses 7-9.

“And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found in heaven for them any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast out to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Rev 12:7-9, NKJV).

Here we see the stars which the dragon threw down to the earth with his tail were the holy angels who then became wicked angels (demons) and the dragon is Satan. Further confirmation of this is

the holy angels are called stars in the word of God. Demons were once holy angels that fell from grace in the rebellion. Therefore, because the holy angels are called stars, demons are also called stars because they were once holy angels.

Paul the apostle reveals we are involved in a battle (struggle) not so much against flesh and blood beings but against spiritual, and more specifically, demonic forces. We entered this spiritual battle the moment we were born but our spiritual eyes (understanding) were opened to it and we were thrust into the front lines of this battle the moment we were born again. Paul also reveals Satan has an army or cohort that assists him in accomplishing his will and plan in the earth to hinder us and the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ and it is a hierarchy which has four divisions;

1. Principalities – from the Greek word arche; chief rulers of the highest rank (wicked angels) “but against principalities”

2. Powers – form the Greek word exousia or “authorities” (strong-man spirits) “against powers”

3. The rulers of the darkness of this age – world rulers of darkness; men and women who are possessed by demonic spirits and who possess demonic powers (common demons and human agents of the enemy whom they possess) “the rulers of the darkness of this age” and

4. Spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (demons that inhabit the second heaven and the atmosphere over lives, homes, suburbs, cities, nations and countries. The word “heavenly” in the Greek is ouranos which means three things, 1. The sky (the arial heavens), 2. The sidereal (the starry heavens) or space, and 3. The abode of God or where God dwells (heaven). In the context of Eph 6:12, it is referring to the sky (the arial heavens) and the sidereal (the starry heavens or second heaven) “against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”

Each of these work together in assisting Satan fulfil his will and plan in the earth. Principalities control powers, powers control strong-man spirits, strong-man spirits control common demons and common demons control human agents. Each of these work in co-operation with spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Just as there is a demonic hierarchy in the kingdom of darkness, there are also different levels of angels in the kingdom of God. There are five types or levels of angels revealed in the word of God;

1. Seraphims: These angels understand and communicate the revelation of God and His nature (Isa 6:1-3, Dan 10).

2. Cherubims: Who understand and communicate the work of the Holy Spirit and lead the worship of heaven. They have wings and fly (Eze 10:20-22, Rev 4:8).

3. Living creatures: These angels protect the throne of God (Eze 1, Eze 10:20-22, Rev 4:8).

4. Arch angels: Who reveal or manifest God’s authority, dominion, and rule. These include the warring angels and messenger angels. Michael the Arch angel is a warring angel (Dan 10: 12-14, esp. Vs 13). The angel Gabriel, who is said to be an Arch angel, visited Zecharias (Lk 1:11-19) and announced to Mary the birth of the Messiah (Lk 1:26-38, esp. Vs 26) and

5. Common angels: Who appear to the saints and minister for us, the heirs of salvation. These also include messenger angels (Dan 10:12-14, esp Vs 12 & 14). The angel that appeared to Daniel

was a common angel and brought him the answer to his prayer.

Just as demons are and have personalities, angels also are and have personalities for wicked angels, which can also be called demons, were once holy angels that fell from grace in the rebellion. Many of the characteristics attributed to demons can also be attributed to angels such as;

1. Angels can hear (Ps 103:20)

2. Angels have no gender. They are asexual which means they are neither male nor female. They have no sexual organs and cannot reproduce as we can

3. Angels can travel from place to place (Jn 1:51)

4. Angels have a mind (intelligence)

5. Angels can see. They have spiritual eyes

6. Angels become weary (tired). They have limited power (Dan 10:12-14)

7. Angels have limited knowledge

8. Angels can speak. They have a voice (Lk 1:26-38, esp. Vs 26)

9. Angels have a will of their own (Rev 12:3-4 & 7-9)

10. Angels have faith (in God)

11. Angels have memory

12. Angels evaluate (examine) things, people and situations

13. Angels can plan things (Dan 10:12-14)

14. Angels collaborate with other angels (Dan 10:12-14)

15. Angels are holy and minister for the heirs of salvation (Heb 1:14)

Additional revelations about angels

1. Angels are innumerable (Jer 33:22)

2. Angels are strong and powerful (Isa 37:36)

3. They are awesome in appearance (Judges 13:20-22)

4. Angels protect us (Ps 34:7, Ps 91:9-13)

5. Angels are activated by God’s word (Ps 103:20-21). We can either empower or hinder angels by our words (Ecc 5:6)

6. Angels are influenced by our prayers (Gen 19:22, Dan 10:4-14)

7. Angels deliver us from the enemy (Ps 34:7, 35:5, Acts 12)

8. Angels reveal heavenly realities (Zech 6)

9. Angels continually commune between heaven and earth (Gen 28:12, Jn 1:51)

10. Angels provide direction (Exo 23:20-22, Heb 2:1-3 & Acts 8:26)

11. Angels are activated to and assist in fulfilling prophecies (Ps 68:31, Acts 8)

12. Angels help us prosper (Gen 24:40)

13. Angels have limited knowledge (Mk 13:32)

14. Angels lead sinners to the Gospel (Acts 10)

15. Angels are instructed by the Church (Eph 3:10, 1 Pet 1:10-12)

16. Angels rejoice when a person is saved (Lk 15:7)

17. Angels announce blessings as well as calamities, disasters & judgments (Rev chapter 5, 7, 8 & 9)

Angels take pleasure in obeying God and serving humankind (Ps 103:20 & 21)

How to activate angels

We can activate or de-activate angels. Angels are sent to minister for us and we have the power to activate them. The Psalm declares, “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and you have crowned him with glory and honor” (Ps 8:4 & 5, NKJV). Here, the English translation reveals that God has made man a little lower than the angels but in the Hebrew, the word “angels” is “Elohim” which means “God, the creator”. So in the Hebrew, the word of God here reveals that God has made us a little lower than Himself which means we are above the angels. As a result, in Christ, we can activate or charge the angels. We activate them through the word of God and we de-activate them through negative and destructive words.

The word of God says in Psalm 103:20 & 21, “Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure” (NKJV). The word of God here reveals that the angels excel in strength or are strengthened (activated) when they hear the voice of God’s word. Where are they going to hear the voice of God’s word? Not just from God’s mouth but from our mouths. Paul wrote, “But what does it

say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach) (Rom 10:8, NKJV).

Jesus exclaimed, “Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?” (Mt 26:53, NKJV). A legion at that time referred to the roman contingent of troops that numbered around 6,000 men. Twelve legions of angels would be 72,000 angels and Jesus said He could have called for more than that number. Because we are in a covenant relationship with Christ, we are in Christ and because He is seated at God’s right hand in the heavenly places far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come, we too are seated in the same places as He is (Eph 1:19-20, Eph 1:3). These places are far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named. These include the holy angels. So, just as Jesus had

authority to call upon or charge the holy angels, we too have authority to do the same. We can pray to the Father, in Jesus name to send or charge the angels to assist us.

God has forbidden praying to or worshipping the angels (Rev 22:8 & 9) but we can charge them in the name of Jesus Christ. Notice, Jesus did not call upon or pray to the angels but said that He could have prayed to the Father to send Him twelve legions of angels. We too can pray to the Father to

send angels to our aid or we can charge them in the name of Jesus Christ.

The word of God reveals that our words have power. Proverbs 18:20 & 21 declares, “A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled” (Vs. 20) and “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Vs. 21) (NKJV).

Jesus declared; “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mk 11:23, NKJV).

These three verses reveal our words have power and we will have whatever we say if we believe that what we say will come to pass. In order to believe or have faith that what we say will come to pass, we must first know God’s will, His word and promises. We find out God’s will and know His word and promises by, 1. Seeking the Lord and 2. Searching His word. When we know God’s will, word and promises, it gives us faith to declare His word (Rom 10:17). And when we do, we will see them come to pass.

The key way we activate angels are by the words of our mouths which includes;

1. Prayer (Dan 10:12-14)

2. Speaking out the promises of God revealed in His written word (the Scriptures) (Ps 103:20-21) and

3. Speaking out the prophetic word of God or any prophecies you have received from the Lord about your situation

The way we de-activate angels is through;

1. Negative words

2. Complaining against God or others

3. Cursing God or others

And the way we counter act these three things is through repentance.

We are coming into a season where angelic activity will increase and where angelic and prophetic encounters will become more frequent. As we rapidly approach the second coming of Christ, demonic activity will become much more intense as more demons will be released into the earth. As a result, natural and man-made disasters, chaos, confusion and upheaval will increase but those who are walking with God in obedience as well as those who they pray for will not be harmed for the legions of angels will be released to counter act and destroy the hordes of demons that will come. For as the

enemy steps up his activity in the world to destroy men, God steps up His activity against the enemy to destroy him. Do not fear.

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them” (Ps 34:7, NKJV).

“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot” (Ps 91:9-13, NKJV).

Revival Fire MeetingThe final revival fire meeting for the year will be held on Wednesday the 10th of December 2014. 64 Hampden Road South Wentworthville at 7:30pm and will resume on Wednesday the 7th of January 2015. Same time and venue as above.

Ministry Christmas Party Friday the 12th of December 2014. George Mepham Hall, Toongabbie Community Centre at 7:30pm. Family and friends welcome.

Christmas Eve Service Wednesday the 24th of December 2014. George Mepham Hall, Toongabbie Community Centre at 8pm -11pm.

New Year’s Eve ServiceA special meeting of prayer and praise will be held on New Year’s Eve to give thanks for the year that has passed and to pray in the New Year. The meeting will commence at 7:30pm, Wednesday the 31st of December 2014 and will continue until 11pm when we will have supper and see in the New Year with fireworks on the big screen. The meeting will be held at George Mepham Hall, Toongabbie Community Centre. 244 Toongabbie Road Toongabbie (Corner of Toongabbie Road and Targo Road). Please bring a plate of food. Soft drinks supplied.
