Overview
page 4LIMIT Release Noteswww.cae-sim-sol.com
Enhanced DVS1612Fatigue and static strength data defined in EditSetup
Static weld factors are user defined or according to FKM
Different equivalent stress types for weld section available
Enhanced DVS1612 Assessment
page 5LIMIT Release Noteswww.cae-sim-sol.com
Enhanced DVS1612Material selection according to EN10025
Yield and tensile strength depending on sheet thickness
Enhanced DVS1612 Assessment
page 6LIMIT Release Noteswww.cae-sim-sol.com
Enhanced DVS1612Assessment defined in JobManager
DVS1612_FATIGUE (Default pure DVS) Is formulated in upper or maximum stress
Uses original interaction formula for multiaxial loading
DVS1612_FATIGUE_AMPLITUDE Is formulated in amplitudes rather than upper or maximum stress
Uses modified interaction formula for better interpretation
DVS1612_STATIC Performs a static analysis with data defined in EditSetup
Enhanced DVS1612 Assessment
page 7LIMIT Release Noteswww.cae-sim-sol.com
Modified weld factors in FKM and DVS1612New formulation calculates an effective weld factor depending in thetype of effective stress formulation and on the different weld factorsdepending stress type and sign and weld parameters.
Empirical effective weld stress according FKM: V = SQRT[S_2^2+T^2]
Empirical effective weld stress weighted by weld factors awV_aw= SQRT[(S_2/aw)^2+(T/awt)^2]
Effektive weld factor:aw_eff = V_aw/V

New Interface to SolidWorksModel information and results can be selected and exported for the strength assessments in LIMIT
Currently SWX version 2015 is supported. If other versions are needed, please contact LIMIT support for further information.

User Programmed Python ModulesUser defined modules are located in the directory….\LIMIT-CAE-RELEASE-2016\user_imports
Source of Report Generator is included in this version and can be modified by users. For further information contact the LIMIT support!

Splitting of WeldsType of weld can be changed locally
For an existing setup (e.g. PS0001) two new sub-setups are derived:
PS0001-origin … with original definitions
PS0001-redefine … with modified data
Saves time and increases the accuracy
