William L. G. Peirce of Lincoln was born 1830, son of William Peirce and Jane (Green) Peirce. Isabel M. Carret of Dedham was born 1831 in Cuba where her family had business interests, daughter of Joseph Carret and Eliza H. Carret. They married in 1855, and had four children, Alice, Amos, Jane, and William. William L. G. Peirce, an apothecary, (also listed as a farmer) was drafted into the 12th Regiment, MVI, to serve in the Civil War. In 1864 he transferred to the 39th Regiment, MVI. He was mustered out in 1865 at the conclusion of hostilities. Isabel died in 1888, William in 1901. William C. Peirce, son of William L. G. Peirce, was a farmer of note in Lincoln, operating a market garden and breeding and raising fowl. W. C. Peirce also served as Lincoln Town Clerk in the early 20th century.
