From the Chief Editor’s Desk!

We are delighted to bring out the 2nd issue of e-Parigyan - the

Electronic News Letter of the Lingaya’s University after the

successful launch in October 2015. In this issue, in addition to

the events in November 2015, we have also brought out some

of the significant events and activities of the past few months.

The 4th Convocation of the Lingaya’s University held in Sep-

tember 2015 was a big event, where 613 students were

awarded degree for various programmes Ph.D, Post-graduate

and Under-graduate degrees. My congratulations to all of

them and best wishes for a bright future career.

The annual Cultural Zest 2015 with the theme “Sanskriti” was held in the last week of Octo-

ber 2015 with a high decibel excitement among the students of Lingaya’ University and oth-

er participating colleges and Universities with many dignitaries and celebrities gracing and

performing in the festival along with the students. This has brought out the best talents

and organizing skills of the students and faculty which was highly appreciable.

The University has got NAAC accreditation in November 2015. As the management, faculty

and staff worked very hard with commendable spirit and enthusiasm over the past several

months for preparation of the campus and the documentation for achieving this distinction.

Many conferences and workshops have been organized by the faculty and the administration

on myriad of themes including “IPR: Challenges in Digital Environment”, “Cloud Computing”,

“Process

Control Industry” etc. One novel event on “ Young Achievers Award” is planned to be held

in December 2015 to involve and encourage the school students to showcase their tal-

ents.

The” Water Festival” organized by the University in September 2015 has brought out the im-

portance of much needed environmental consciousness.

The Lingaya’s University is going green on Energy front. It has installed 250KVA solar energy

panels on its roof tops to meet significant part of its energy needs.

It is heartening that the University has established good linkages with industry and many

internationally renowned recruiters are offering employment to the students of Lingaya’s

University

I hope that this issue of e-Parigyan would be of interest and I again request the readers to

send their feedback to us.

With best wishes to all our readers!

Dr. GV Ramaraju
