1. Obtain information from text listened to in relation to main ideas, specific details and sequence.

2. Acquire keywords at various stages of development.

Teaching Aids: Radio, recorded announcement, worksheet, flash card (simple announcement)

“ANNOUNCEMENT” on the board and explains on it.

2. Choose a student randomly to read the simple announcement and ask them to pay attention.

3. Teacher asks few questions regarding the announcement made and students respond to the questions.

4. Teacher introduces new words such as –organiser, programme, deadline-as vocabulary.

To introduce the students to the new vocabulary.

While-Listening 1. Teacher plays the recorded announcement once. Pupils listen.

2. Teacher distributes the worksheets, explains the instruction and replays the recorded announcement.

3. Pupils fill in the blank with the correct details.

To obtain specific information and acquired new keywords.

Post-Listening 1. Students exchange their answer sheets with their peers.

2. Teacher plays the record once again and asks them to check the answers.

To reconfirm the answers.
