• Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1Peter 1;8,9

• God is their stomach, mind is set on earthly things, Phil 3:18-20

Privileges

• - Inheritance that is imperishable,

undefiled, and unfading, 

kept in heaven for you,

- By God's power are being

guarded through faith - In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary,

you have been grieved by various trials

- the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result inpraise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ

• Knowing that you were ransomed from the

futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. 1 Pet 1;18,19

•  Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a] we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2

• Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” Hosea 6:3

• Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature,having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:4

• Living relationship with God- the source of all life

• Producing fruits that cherish this hope and begets new hope.

• Do you meditate on the word Of God?• Do you have fellowship as instructed in the word of God?• Do you obey the Lord in everything?• Do you worship in spirit and truth?

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 1 Pet 1;14

And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile. 1 Pet 1;15

Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, 1 Pet 1;22

Action• Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all

diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in your virtue knowledge;6 and in your knowledge self-control; and in your self-control patience; and in your patience godliness;

• 7 and in your godliness brotherly kindness; and in your brotherly kindness love.2 Peter 1:5-7

To the angel of the church in Pergamum14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there some that hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.15 So hast thou also some that hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans in like manner.16 Repent therefore; or else I come to thee quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of my mouth.
