IN SYMPATHY IN SYMPATHY IN SYMPATHY IN SYMPATHY

What a wonderful day at First Presbyterian as we celebrated in song during the 26th Annual Christmas Carol Sing on Tuesday, December 6th. A very special thank you to everyone who made this event a successful celebration and fundraiser for Community Cooperative.

Thank you to Sam Galloway, Jr. for sponsoring this annual event and all his employees who help before, during and after the event.

Special thanks to the Chancel Choir of First Presbyterian Church and all the guest choir members who participated in the Carol Sing Choir; Rev. Roger Peterson, Director of Music and Worship; Barbara Peterson, pianist; Eddygrace Bernhard, organist, Lenny Mlejnek and Mike Pcolar, percussion; The Spiritual Voices; the Estero Ensemble; and our soloists: Michael Broyles, Beverly Cox, Bill & Beth Filiowich, and Lalai Hamric.

Special thanks to all the ushers who served “in costume” during the three performances.

CONGRATULATIONSCONGRATULATIONSCONGRATULATIONSCONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Bill and Pat Mellor who were honored at the 50th Celebration of the Aquatic Preserve for their years of hard work and dedication to help save Estero Bay from dredge and fill development. In the 1950s into the 1960s, Bill saw the development going up around other estuaries and he didn’t want to see it happen here - so he started the Lee County Conservation Association. His efforts to protect the bay led to Estero Bay becoming the first designated aquatic preserve in 1966.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to Harry Helmlinger and family on the recent passing of his wife Jean on November 30, 2016. Jean will be missed by her family and friends and church family of FPC. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, December 9th at Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Peterson officiating. Cards of comfort may be sent to: Harry Helmlinger 2514 Elva Place, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971
