Transform your garden into paradise with a garden pond. Putting in a pond and a gushing cascade you can

enjoy the natural serenity water in the garden. Please read further to see a great range of pond linings.

Just remember we do cut to size, and we can get them joined to make large sizes.

IInnssttaallllaattiioonn IInnssttrruuccttiioonnss 1. Shape

Once you have determined the location and shape of the pond. the

outlines have to be marked. A garden hose and some wooden stakes are a

good help. Also bog or shallow water zones can be marked in this way. In this phase, corrections can still be made without any problems.

2. Excavation Now, the final marking will be made with vertical spade cuts. The layers of

soil will then be removed one after the other. Thereafter, the bog and shallow water zones have to be covered with on approximately 10cm

thick layer of gravel or pond substrate. This must be taken Into account for

the depth of the excavation. It is of special Importance that the pond

edges are actually at the same level (check by using a spirit level).

3. Basis Removing all pointed Items and roots from the pond floor is the next step.

Then, a sand layer should be put in for protection of the liner. In addition, we recommend the garden pond underlay, an extremely resistant and

anti-rotting synthetic material.

4. Laying the Liner The pond liner will be spread apart and pulled over the pond hollow. The

liner should be placed with an excess length of approximately 30 to 50 cm

all round, then, when water Is filled into the pond, the liner pulls itself

gradually into the right position. So that the pond doesn’t loose water, a so called capillary break should be installed. This means that the liner in

the edge area Is not just covered with soil and runs out flat, but the liner

edge should be put upright and cut off just above the soil. The upper liner

edge must always be higher than the highest water level.

5. Shore building Especially for The edge area, we recommend embankment mats, which

can be supplied made from Nylon or coconut fibre as well as the

embankment bag, into which pockets have been made, which can be filled

with plants and suspended Into the pond. After sometime, when the

plants have grown, the liner edges are not visible any more.

Smart landscaping for ponds DuPont™ Xavan® Pond Liner is a double coated non-woven structure based on Xavan®, ideal solution for smart pond landscaping. This Space Age technological advance renders other membrane alternatives far inferior, and is also one of the few liners that is really environmentally friendly.

This unique and composite structure gives a high resistance to penetration or damage by root systems. Its

high tensile strength and high tear and puncture resistance makes it an exceptionally strong structure,

whose properties are vital during the lifetime of the pond. Compared to alternatives and with

performances surpassing the requirements, DuPont™ Xavan® Pond Liner is very light. This lightness

guarantees an easier installation, in terms of manpower and installation time. Especially its flexibility

allows a better and quicker finishing around complicated pond edges, and at pipe connection. It also

enables professional designers to innovate with imaginative and complicated shapes. Finally, DuPont™

Xavan® Pond Liner is chemically inert and does not leach biodegrade or rot in the aquatic flora. It is very

resistant to attacks by acid and base solutions. DuPont™ Xavan® Pond Liner can last up to 25 years and is

readily recyclable.

Another way of joining PVC liner is using liner glue. As with all joins the surfaces must be clean. PVC Liner Glue - 125ml, 500ml, 1000ml, UBLG01, UBLG05, UBLG10

Joining Tape or Glue 10cm

Aqualiner Joining Tape, a double sided butyl tape is an ideal way to join liner, making it versatile as to what shape you can do. Suits PVC or Xavan Liners-5&10m Rolls. ALJT05, ALJT10

PondLiner Fix is a way of joining PVC and EPDM liner. This adhesive applied at 6mm enough for 10-12m. As with all joins the surfaces must be clean. UBLF01,

PondLiner Clean is for cleaning the pond liner surface before gluing pond liner. 500ml does approx. 30m². UBLC01,

Although liner is very strong every liner needs protection from sharp objects. The best way to do this is with a pond liner fabric underlay.

For when something goes wrong we do have liner repair kits available.

Leak Proof is a specially formulated, twin pack, cementatious waterproofing compound for waterproofing and

sealing concrete structures from positive and negative water pressure. Water proof walls with rising damp, moisture

& leaks. Concrete floors with rising damp, concrete roofs, cement reservoirs, retaining walls, fishponds, dams,

basements, tunnels and similar waterproofing & damp proofing applications. May be applied onto damp surfaces.

Available in 1 litre and litre kits. Colour is light grey. May be over coated with quality acrylic paints.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Leak proof is supplied with a liquid catalyst. For best results, remove powder from the container, pour the liquid

catalyst in the container then, add the powder to the liquid, a little at a time while stirring vigorously with a flat

paddle. Once all of the powder has been added and stirred to a smooth paste, leak proof is ready to use. Wet surface

with water prior to application of Leak proof, to obtain and even finish. Brush on in one direction only using a white

wash or block brush. Apply generously.

A solvent-based sealant for water proofing in and around the pond. Quick drying, easy application and superior

coverage.

MULTI PURPOSE PATCHING CEMENT that sets in five minutes even

underwater! Bonds to Concrete, Masonry, Wood, Steel and Fibreglass

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Remove all loose material from the area to be treated to ensure a solid bond. Slowly add one part of water to 4 parts of Quickset WATERCRETE and mix for I to 2 minutes to the CONSISTENCY OF PUTTY. Add more product if mix is too wet as wet mix seriously reduces effectiveness. Avoid contact with skin. Press the mix firmly into the prepared area. The product can be moulded to shape. When filling a hole against running water, hold the mixed product in position with a trowel or piece of timber until it cures. The product hardens rapidly after 4 mins. If sealing a leak underwater, increase the size of the hole on the surface to create a taper. Before applying Quickset WATERCRETE to dry work, generously soak the location with water. Damp conditions assist curing. For repairs less than 1.5cms thick in a dry situation, it is best kept damp for 24 hours.

SEAL IT No need to drain your precious water tank or pool

to seal a leaking hole. The job’s done in five minutes regardless of water flow.

FLOAT IT Repair submerged boat hulls, steel wood or glassfibre in emergencies or for re-floating

PATCH IT

Patch your drive or path and in 30 minutes you can walk and drive over it. Very convenient.

GROUT IT

Grout bolts fast into rock, brick, stone Or concrete

FILL IT Fill awkward holes, restore crumbling areas of concrete or brickwork fast and get support &

strength in minutes for screws & bolts

STICK IT Refix pool tiles underwater in minutes. No expensive and lengthy draining necessary.

MOULD IT Restore crumbling and dangerous grating ledges by

moulding with your fingers. It’s just as tough as the original.

HOLD IT Fix stanchions, wood posts etc. into position and

within minutes they will be free standing, and load

bearing in a few hours
