TEEKAY Pipe Couplings allow pipes to be joined without the need for flanging, grooving, threading or welding. By simply butting two pipes together and connecting with a TEEKAY Pipe Coupling, space, weight, time and cost savings are achieved with every installation.
TEEKAY Couplings have been sold for over three decades to more than 85 countries worldwide for civil, water, oil & gas, marine, building services, process, automotive and countless other industrial projects for pipes between 21 mm and 4200 mm in diameter.
Each coupling consists of three main parts:
a Casing used to house the gasketb Gasket material with six sealing lips and containing two metallic anchor rings
that bite into the pipe wall upon installation to seal against the pipe c Locking part is designed to pull the two ends of the casing together
circumferentially around the pipe
Each coupling is labelled with the correct torque figure which ensures that the gasket is compressed sufficiently against the pipe surface forming a zero, leak free seal.

Sealing Function:
Before tightening The coupling has two anchor rings (A) which are placed adjacent to, but separate from, the sealing mechanism.
During tighteningAs the coupling is tightened the six sealing lips are pressed against the pipe surface to form a seal. At the same time the anchor rings penetrate the rubber, bite into the two pipes and prevent them from pulling apart, whether by external loading or internal pressure.
After tighteningThe end seal (E) is also pressed against the pipe surface, which protects both the anchor ring and the section of the pipe where the anchor rings have bitten, from any possible external corrosion.

Product DescriptionThe Axilock range is designed to replace the need for flanging, welding, pipe grooving and pipe threading by providing a quick and easy solution to joining plain-end pipe.
The TEEKAY Axilock coupling features:
▪ Grip rings at each end of the coupling secure the connection by locking the pipes together under pressure
▪ Fully rubberlined internally, ensuring that high levels of corrosion resistance are maintained throughout the life of the coupling
Available in single (standard) or double casing versions depending on pressure and diameter.
Both types are suitable for new installations and retro-fit, whether on a ship, building or process plant.
The Axilock range offers a versatile pipe coupling system that accommodates angulation, vibration and vacuum.

Product DescriptionThe Plastlock Coupling is the easiest way to join plastic pipes together; designed and engineered to make a permanent connection.
Incorporating the TEEKAY multiple seal gasket, the design concept has been followed through to the pipe anchoring mechanism itself, which is also constructed with three progressive anchor rings.
These rings permanently hold and lock the two pipes together.
The progressive anchoring design features:
▪ A single element at each end of the coupling
▪ Three individual pipe anchor rings at staggered heights
▪ Dynamic locking of the pipe ensures all three rings are in contact with the pipe wall
▪ Each anchor ring incorporates a chamber which increases locally around the area where each anchor ring engages with the pipe
