CES – the oldest Germanmanufacturer of cylinder locks
C.Ed. Schulte GmbH – known globally as CES – is the oldest manufacturer of cylinder locks in Germany dating back to the begin-ning of the nineteenth century. According to Velbert City archives, the company was founded in 1840 by Heinrich Schulte whose father had run a locksmith shop since 1816. Heinrich’s successor, Carl Eduard Schulte, then gave the company the name it still so proudly bears today. Based in the West of Germany next to Düsseldorf the com-pany has established itself as a leading manufacturer of mechanical, electronic and mechatronic security systems for use in the most demanding commercial and residential applications.
Our ProductsCES core strengths lie in our extensive range of locking systems, complemented by our standard and high security profi le cylinders, as well as our furniture and spe-cialist cylinder range. With the addition of our quality lock ranges to suit all the most
demanding criteria, we have a complete security solution.
CES products combine the highest level of quality and precision, offering the opera-tors convenience and a maximum level of security. CES are able to provide the per-fect solution for any requirement and in any fi eld of application but particularly in the fi eld of master key planning and im-plementation where CES have planned, manufactured and delivered some of the most highly complex and comprehensive systems globally.
Proven SolutionsWhatever the project, CES are sure to provide a solution for even the most de-manding application. Our expertise lends itself whatever the requirement – from sporting arenas requiring a complex me-chanical solution, public buildings through to hotels requiring a combined mechanical and electronic access solution.

One key for all(Master Key System)
A locking system is used whenever more than one door is to be locked and unlocked. Locking systems can also serve as an or-ganisational tool since they allow the im-plementation of hierarchically structured access authorizations.
A locking system should always be plan-ned in close cooperation between the de-veloper and the planning offi ce. Only this will ensure that an ideal structure is found that affords the fl exibility to make changes and extensions even years after its initial installation.
Which type of locking system is installed depends on the specifi c requirements.

CES vario Flex CES vario Flex allows you to reproduce more than 140 narrow frame mortise locks. All important reference dimensions of the lock, such as the centre distance, the backset and also the frame dimension can be variably adjusted. This way you are well prepared for whichever door situation you are con-fronted with on site.
The lock case is set for a centre of 92 mm. If a centre of 72 mm is required, the lock case can quickly and easily be adjusted to the correct centre.
The system comprises a lock case with the basic backset of 30 mm. By simply pushing on the adapters included in the package, the backset can be increased from 30 mm through to 45 mm.
The assembly kit also includes dead bolt and latch bolt heads appropriate for the respective backset.
With fl at forends and a U-section forend, every possible lock variant can be repro-duced. In addition, two reducer sleeves per mit a reduction of the follower from 10 to 8 and 9 mm, respectively.
