TURKEY FOWL CONTESTFriday November 17

Participants ages 6 and up are invited to take a set of 10 basketball “fowl” shots for $1. Par-ticipants may pay for as many sets of shots as times permits. The winner in each category will be awarded a 15-pound turkey, to be enjoyed on Thanksgiving Day. A $25 gift certificate to a local supermarket will be awarded to the first two peo-ple who make 10 foul shots in a row. So come out and shoot that turkey for Thanksgiving dinner!

The Holiday Card Drawing Contest is open to Lower Providence residents ages 3-7. Children should draw their favorite holiday scene on a card. It could be Frosty the Snowman or Santa and his reindeer. Join us for a festive evening of holiday activities for all ages. Highlights of the celebration will in-clude the Methacton Chorale, holiday crafts, and a visit from Santa Claus and his elves. Children will have the chance to have their pictures taken with Santa. DISCOUNT MOVIE TICKETS The Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with PA Recreation and Park Society is pleased to of-fer discounted movie tickets for selected theatres in the area. The vouchers are offered on a paid basis. The offer is good only while supply of allotted vouch-ers last. Vouchers may be purchased at the Township Building Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. begin-ning immediately. The prices of the tickets are $7.00.
