Loopingthrutime, Inc. would like to wish everyone a Spook- tacular and safe Halloween! So how would I describe 2010 since the release of Beyond the Loop back in March? BUSY! Between working, studying, teaching, and parenting 2010 hasn’t been easy by any stretch of them imagination. But 2010 is a big win to me! With this edition of the Loopingthrutime, Inc. newsletter, I will focus on how Beyond the Loop has done since March, with two book signings that were successful, where The Eternal Loop stands at this time and a new time travel idea that might be interesting to explore. So grab your costumes and your Trick or Treat bags and let’s head out on an adventure. “Down here, no one can hear you scream…” October’s time of year! There’s a cool crispness in the air. The leaves are starting to change color. The grass is going dormant (Thank God!). Baseball is winding down. And the kiddos are gearing up for some candy! That could only mean one thing…it must be October! Contrary to popular belief, and how my house looks from the end of November to the beginning of January, Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love pretending to be something that I’m not. I love candy (as my dentist would testify to). And I love having the dickens scared out of me (and Charles has nothing on what scares me. Vampires, werewolves and mummies…OH MY!!! It’s skeery out there folks. So no surprise here either, this is October’s favorite time of year too. That would be Willis October, of course. So you may ask yourself, does anything scare October? Well, not really because he doesn’t stick around long enough to find out. October is a coward in the truest sense of the word. A real recreant. (ha-ha) But despite his flaws, October was, is and will be a smart man. He had enough sense to figure out a time machine. He was witty enough to talk his way out of any situation. But just like all of us that celebrate Halloween, he was very good at pretending to be something that he is not. That would be….a human being. Not saying October was an alien, mind you, but 2

Beyond the Loop back in March? BUSY! Between working, studying, teaching, and parenting 2010 hasn’t

been easy by any stretch of them imagination.

“Down here, no one can hear you scream…”

October’s time of year!

(ha-ha)

But despite his flaws, October was, is and will be a smart man. He had enough sense to figure out a time machine. He was witty enough to talk his way out of any situation. But just like all of us that celebrate Halloween, he was very good at pretending to be something that he is not. That would be….a human being.

Not saying October was an alien, mind you, but he was just inconsiderate, showed no compassion and had a complete lack of respect for anything virtuous or true. That makes October the scariest person anyone could ever know.

Is The TIME finally here?

ISThe Clock is ticking!

I’m all about believing in something that may or may not be there; something that may or may not be true; something that may or may not be real. To believe in a higher power implores that you believe in things that sometimes defy logic or reasoning.

But some recent events truly strain the line between real and fantasy.

When I wrote The Civilization Loop way back in 2006, I tried to keep everything happening in our time. The reason being, far of distant future events don’t allow for genuine peril on the part of readers or even movie goers. Just look at the rash of 2012 films in recent years to see that people are very curious about a potential end of the world scenario unfolding sometime around that year. Doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, but it’s still quite interesting to speculate about .

But in my case, in writing that story, I wasn’t trying to predict anything. It was all made up, just for fun, nothing more. But now, you really have to wonder in lieu of some very bizarre and scarily accurate events that seemed to come straight from the pages of my book.

Fanciful license or Prophetic Visions?

To believe or not to believe, that is the question?

Possible Predictions within The Civilization LoopNow, this pretty much is bull, but it’s just too uncanny not to

bring up. I’ve outlined before about Mayan hieroglyphs that seemed to imply a connection to October, but again that was just fun speculation. But recent stuff is transpiring now. For instance:

--The retirement of all of the space shuttles in May 2010.

In The Civilization Loop Corporal Kernels makes mention that all of the active shuttles were retired in 2010 and recommissioned for use at Area 51 for the time team project.

--The MS Balmoral will set sail on Titanic’s maiden voyage course from Southampton to New York on April 8, 2012.

This too was predicted in The Civilization Loop when Gene spoke of a ship by the name of Titanic Renaissance setting sail at the same time Titanic did 100 years earlier (But I had been hearing this since the film Titanic came out way back in 1997).

--One of the rumored projects taking place at Area 51 is a time travel experiment.

This is conjecture, and I saw it on Wikipedia, but how ironic I would choose Area 51 for my time travel experiment in The Civilization Loop.

--The History Channel special Ancient Aliens had a scientist speculate that crop circles could be spiral, energy orbs that originate in the sky and come down to Earth to form crop circles.

Now, this isn’t really new and I certainly didn’t make it up in The Civilization Loop, but what are the odds a scientist might could prove this to be true? If that were the case, where are the orbs coming from and why? Could it be time travelers? Some scientists wonder about the possibility, but nothing conclusive has been demonstrated yet.

You’ve got to admit, these are strange coincidences and some might even give you chills. But they are all right there in the pages of The Civilization Loop. So it makes you wonder, did I tap into something? Was someone controlling my thoughts to write out real information in a fictional story? Or, like Nostradamus and many other prognosticators, did I just get lucky and have it proven “after” the fact. Only time will tell on this one, so keep a sharp eye and ear out in 2012.

More on Fanciful or Prophetic…Fanciful or Prophetic continued….

--November 2010, a rocket plume appears over Los Angeles, California that has the United States military stumped, with no idea where the plume originated from.

No, I didn’t go into the future to get this information, just got delayed on finishing the newsletter by the end of October. But, this one is UNREAL to me. Looking at the images of the plume from Los Angeles it looks eerily similar to the plume of the space shuttle launch I observed from Jacksonville, Florida back in 2009. Could it have been launched from Area 51? They aren’t ruling out land based places as of yet. Could it have been a space shuttle? Probably not, but ironic there are shuttle-like plumes appearing over the western United States when all of the shuttles are in “retirement.” Very interesting , indeed.

The Future is Bright! With Beyond the Loop now out, work will begin on editing The Eternal Loop, the final installment of The Loopingthrutime Trilogy, sometime in 2011. As I said in my last newsletter, I may begin the prequel/sequel trilogy Is Real about the story of the Lost Civilization of Atlantis, inspired by The Civilization Loop. I also want to start my short story series on Billem Haman: Enter the White Horse. That’s sure to be interesting as it ties in the events following Beyond the Loop and leading into The Eternal Loop. Stay tuned…

Things of interest…Did you know?

In 2006 as group of explores went to search the wreck of the RMS Titanic to find a keel section that may have remained intact during the sinking of the ship on April 15, 1912. They searched the entire area of the wreck site, some two miles beneath the surface of the North Atlantic Ocean and hit pay dirt on the final day of the expedition. They discovered two intact pieces of the keel, double bottom section that when linked back together through computer graphics provided them with a clearer picture of how the ship actually broke up before it’s permanent plunge to the bottom. Sorry James Cameron, your movie was good, but now someone will make another Titanic movie. Eventually, they’ll get the sinking right!
