Please start preparing the three drafts according to these guidelines and send them over to me asap. Outline for the LoR will be 1. Introduction — This consists of a brief description of recommender's credentials (name, title, college/company name, including his relationship with you)— how long and in what capacity he has known you — and to highlight your stand he can compare your status as against any other students like you whom he has supervised or taught He/she has to identify responsibilities including no. of people supervised. Close this paragraph with your outstanding qualities that motivate him to recommend you. 2. Paragraph 1: Discuss a Quality -- ( for example - academic prowess, research aptitude, ability in thinking out of the box , leader ship, organizational, teamwork skills, taking initiatives, work ethics and/or maturity. Choose any one or any other that relates to you for each paragraph) and provide an substantial and impressive example (important) of when you displayed that quality. 3. Paragraph 2: Discuss any other Quality and provide an impressive example of when you displayed that quality. 4. Paragraph 3: Discuss yet another Quality and provide an impressive example of when you displayed that quality. 5. Paragraph 4: Briefly discuss a weakness and describe the progress you made in minimizing and overcoming that weakness. 6.
