The American modernist painter Marsden Hartley had twenty-five of his seminal works from his time living in berlin revealed the significance that WWI had. Compilation of 150 works from the world’s longest-ruling dynasty, about 500 years. There are five key themes that represent this period in time that influenced modern manners and social attitudes. For example, the kings taste for simplicity, shown by the porcelain, strict hierarchies which defined gender and class, ancestral worship,and other religious practices, lastly the influence of western civilizations.
