Engineering at London South Bank University The Department of Engineering Systems offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of civil engineering; mechanical engineering; computer aided design/engineering; building services; acoustics; and sustainable energy systems. The courses are offered at all levels from Foundation through HND, BSc, BEng, MSc and up to PhD. The Department has a high research profile, with particular expertise in building services; electric vehicle technology; tunnel aerodynamics; energy efficiency; advanced materials; and solar power. Students are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities and many of these students study on a part time basis. All the courses in the Department include collaborative teamwork, communication skills, information technology as well as appropriate applications of appropriate science, numeracy and literacy skills.
